The sick concept of Eternal hell suffering.

I personally don't believe that hell is eternal. I tend to view it as a spiritual/psychological state that may be changed at any time. We create our own hells.

The deity described in the Bible is all of the nasty things you mentioned!

That should be an indication for people to Question the Bible for it was written by mankind. Would true intelligence value all those petty things?? Of course not. Doesn't God have to be Smarter than that????

There are a million lessons to learn around Religion. None of them are about God.

Man was created as a species on Day Six.
No names...no law....no restrictions....no garden.....

Male and female ....'go forth be fruitful and multiply'....'dominate all things'.

And Man became that self centered, self seeking creature that would fail in spirit.

The Garden event was intervention with intention of an upgrade.
The divergence is noted.
Adam is a chosen son of God.
Eve is a clone and twin to Adam.
Adam was given his twin sister for a bride. She had no navel.

Strange and extreme?....perhaps.

But if your trying to save the species....what else would you do?
Mind control?

Such would be the end of freewill.....would it not?

The point I am making is that if the deity is as portrayed in the Bible, it has no moral high ground whatsoever as it is worse than any human ever, and has no right to judge us!!

As for most mortals they should have zigged when they zagged. It is because of such high morals that God does what he does.

Why assume more ancient/eternal, highly evolved/perfected spirit beings/entities would be as petty as mankind when it comes to dominion and such? The more we evolve as a whole, the more we truly value freedom and independence...the more we try to share, promote, fight for it to be universal standard. (Obviously huge atrocities against this still, in more regions than others.)

To me the old God-King-Emperor role personified is something we have sort of all transcended as ideal or "right". It speaks of old cultural understanding/wishes of certain men - that our current, living religions, philosophies, worldviews need to be far above.

Have you looked at the text in the Hebrew? It seems to be saying something else, (and there are Jewish writings on this idea as well.) That the first "being" was not a male, but was both male and female, and they separated so as to face each other and procreate.

Me, makes the Mormon idea of going off to rule your own planet kind of appealing.

Now assuming I gave the people of that planet freewill, I could see promoting the idea of eternal hell just to limit some of the raping, pillaging and debauchery likely to go on.
