For Jesus believers: What is Jesus coming to fix?

I am observing most Christians are expecting Jesus to return. I have heard he will fix things for believers. What is he going to fix, according to you?

One scenario is he will do away with the opposition. How do you think he will know who they are?

Another question please:

In what way are those people who do not believe God's Kingdom is real opposed to it? Is it possible to be opposed to something that isn't? Are they somehow in the way of people who believe in it? How so please?

This is a little bit off topic but related as Jesus is Messiah to some. It was on a DIR and the person wrote that Messiah will arrive after the work for the Kingdom is done. I think he wasn't kidding. I do not understand a messiah arriving after the people have been led justly without him. What is the point? Was is a test to see who is paying attention?

"A god our fathers did not know". That is a prophesy.

Is it the end? Many times the best part of a movie is the end. If antichrist is indeed the corrupted vision of Christ, and it is easy to fix but the people won't; is it because they want to know the end their way?

Like a movie?

Why don't the people wake up?

Does the god our fathers did not know mean the willingness to accept the antichrist because it is by the antichrist that the end will come?

I am not crazy to believe the antichrist is something easily overcome. But am I correct to suspect most people desire him?

Hi.

I'd like to share the Islamic point of view since the topic generalizes Jesus believers. If you do not approve of it, please do tell so I can delete the post.

In Islam, the Christ will return from the heavens near the end of days, not back from death as he is still alive up there, and live for 40 years before he passes away.

What he is going to fix is killing the Cyclops (the Islamic version of the Antichrist). The Cyclops (called Dajjal in Islam) will have foretold powers convincing the weak of heart to follow and worship him. After that he will rule over the world with piece before his death.

This is the short version. There are some details that I do not know of.

The Cyclops is a one eyed beast. That description fits the image I have seen. With two eyes depth is observable. It can be likened to understanding. What makes the beast the antichrist is a lack of understanding.

Is the prophesy the Cyclops will rule with peace? That is what I can hear more of please.

Thanks for sharing.

It is also interesting that one eye is a sign on the pyramid of the USA. The USA is harboring it's version of the antichrist.

The leaders of Ancient Egypt believed they were gods. The antichrist believes it too.

Please clearify something if you can. You say the Lord will rule for 40 years (a Bible number) after the antichrist. How long does it say the antichrist will rule?

Sin, death and division. Sin and death have been defeated already, and we now have a way out of them, but we still sin, and people are still dead and dying. Jesus is going to completely end sin in His Kingdom and raise up all those who have ever died so that humanity never has to experience either again. And without sin, there is no division.

One scenario is he will do away with the opposition. How do you think he will know who they are?
He is the omniscient God. He knows the hearts of men in their innermost parts.

I cannot dispute that. I see a problem. Can Christ be present but also return? In other words if you are expecting his return will you miss his presence?

I believe that he has always been present in his brothers. Matthew 25:31-46

verse 31 Young's Literal Translation
'And whenever the Son of Man may come in his glory, and all the holy messengers with him, then he shall sit upon a throne of his glory;

May come which is translated returns I shall propose means "present with a person".
You will not see me until you say "blessed is he who comes in God's Name". The glory he comes in is the trust of his blessing. It is not for just one generation. It is for everyone.

I have asked the question many times. ~ If a person believes in Jesus coming but he is present will he or she know it?

Not one person has answered me.

He is knocking at your door but you are waiting for your own perfect circumstance.

Is it possible for the mind to recognize a presence if the mind is waiting for a return?

I don't know the answer.

I have said before at least once (and got no frubals btw) that generation means "those who recognize the glory of God in Jesus"

This generation will by no means pass away until all things occur. That is why I am so brave :)

You're welcome.

No, the Cyclops will be a tyrant and pretend to be God. He will demonstrate powers to wake a dead person after killing him and walk through fire without harm and then terrorize the world along with those weak of heart following him.

Note that the Antichrist in Islam is the one eyed being himself as one person.

Did I imply he's gonna be peaceful? Sorry if my English failed me.

Please clearify something if you can. You say the Lord will rule for 40 years (a Bible number) after the antichrist. How long does it say the antichrist will rule?

Jesus will live for 40 years starting his descending to Earth. His life will cover many things, not just taking care of the one eyed Antichrist (the Cyclops). No idea about the reign of the Antichrist.

This is poetic language for something real. I believe the vision is true but I disagree it is he. I believe it is it and I am able to see it.

Can't argue with that. I used "he" figuratively on a whim without really thinking about it. My bad.

LOL What I mean is it is not a human but is a human attitude opposed to the attitude that has been gifted to humanity by God.

I do not know if you mean he might be she. By the description who have graciously provided it sounds like you are describing a person or persons (specifically).

Oh, actually, the Antichrist in Islam is a single complete physical male human that has one centered eye. I guess this is why I called him "he" in the first place. I'm not familiar with the Christian version, so I guess this is what's causing the misunderstanding. I'll have to search for it.

But it is a common ground that stopping him or it is one of the purposes of the second coming of Jesus.
