In Christianity, if you dont practice anything immoral it is not sin. You dont have to be lonely just because you dont have sex, friend. I dont have sex but I am with my family and I have plenty of love in my life. And I am not lonely either.

You guys give to much power in sex. I say too obsessed.

I guess that all boils down to what you consider a relationship and what are "homosexual practices". What are "heterosexual practices" anyway? A man and a woman can fall in love, can kiss, date, court, cuddle, get married, have sex, raise a family and so on. If two women fall in love, are they allowed to kiss? Date? Court? Cuddle? Do everything EXCEPT have sex? Is that the only "homosexual practice" that is excluded or are all acts of love and affection between people who fall in love with each other no-no's? It's not a matter of being "obsessed" with sex. It's a matter of wanting people to be simply allowed to fully love whom they love and express that love just like anyone else is allowed to. To demand or expect otherwise simply due to a person's natural orientation doesn't just seem cruel, it is cruel, and simply unreasonable to boot.

There are many opinions in my religion. In my idea of Vaishnavism, I feel that Krishna (Allah, God) wouldn't care whether someone was gay or straight, or lesbian, or whatever. My only hope is that they are utilising their lives in developing a personal relationship with Krishna, regardless of their material circumstances!

I've read this website, called the "Gay and Lesbian Vaishnava Association" which has some good articles and resources on homosexuality with Vaishnavism and Hinduism in general. God loves everyone, and if He is the Supreme Absolute, then His Love would be absolute as well. :)

Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna,
Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare,
Hare Rama, Hare Rama,
Rama Rama, Hare Hare!

Voluntary celibacy is fine. But forced lifetime celibacy can be incredibly destructive to a person's psyche.

Nope I am not voluntary celibacy. I am separated by my spouse but I will not divorce because Jesus says not to. I can remarry when my spouse die.

I sure would like to have partner but I choose to be faithful to my Lord. All mistakes have consequences and I take it graciously. Following Jesus is not so easy.

I know that most remarriage is unbiblical in the secular world and most Christians in the US dont honor Jesus' word, either.

Are you sure this is the intent on Jesus' teachings? You wouldn't adhere to cutting your own hand off, would you? So why think he meant this one literally as opposed to simply 'divorcing on a whim'?

About cutting hands, it was Jesus' hyperbole expression because fornication is serious offense for Jesus' followers.

Marriage is very, very serious matter. Your sex partner is only one unless your spouse dies.

Christian leaders in the US are selling their soul to satan because they are not leading their flock to be faithful to Jesus. they should know better as leaders.

I know it wasn't to be taken literally; the point is -- why take one part literally and another otherwise?

Except for unfaithfulness.

Not everyone believes in Satan as an opponent of God. :)

I don't understand homosexuality, but I do understand that Christianity should have very little to say about it. There is no firm OT statement to follow, and there is scant mention in the NT. All references in the NT can be attributed to mistranslations, anachronisms. They have frequently been interpreted as prohibitions, but it is not clear. To say that homosexuality is 'Evil' has turned out to be a matter of opinion. Christianity of late has embarrassed itself thoroughly through completely misjudging in other situations (slavery for instance), so it has lost all claim to clarity. It no longer has any say in a matter where there is debate.

That's a pretty sad way to live. :(

Not really, I found many other ways to live meaningful life. I have joy and peace being faithful to Jesus I never had before when I was a non-believer. I have confidence that I can handle anything with Jesus' help of His guidance I read in His preachings.

blessings.

It is sin to practice homosexuality in Christianity.

In Christianity or Paulism?
  • In Christianity it's not a sin.
  • In Paulism it is.
  • Paulism is not Christianity by any stretch of the imagination.
Game, set, match.

"Now lemme get dis straight... " (in my best Harry Nilsson, and no pun intended)...

If a woman is being beaten on by her husband, and whether he is arrested and sent to jail or not, she has to remain married to him?

Oy gevalt! I hold out little hope for the human race.

Like I said, voluntary celibacy is much better than force/coercian into celibacy.

You sure would like to have a partner while waiting for your spouse to die? I wish you the best.

Nor can most people do so. Jesus taught an ascetic path, which the vast majority of people on the planet are not fit to follow, nor should they be required to.

To truly follow Jesus's teachings, you essentially have to become a homeless wanderer.

Yes, it is. You are greatly mistaken. Jesus deos not even conden remarriage if your former spouse is still alive.

Homosexuality is bestiality. I understand that the animals have homosexual sex. This kind of sex is not holy. Jesus commands His followers to be holy.

Nope, Jesus does not condone abandon our family. Jesus' commands us to even love our enemy, much more our loved ones.

And He also tells us that His followers are salt and light of the world. If we are homeless, we are not salt and light.
