The Bible, an important document. How can it be understood?

What might that be?
Continuity. I have lived my life without continuity and then with continuity. I recognize the Bible has it. We are never talking about 100%. OK?
I was thinking of saying on Katzpur's thread that the Bible need not be 100% understandable to 100% of the people who wish it, but it was Katzpur's thread so I didn't. 100% of the Bible does not have to be understood to know that it is understandable.

I agree with the rest who say no one can understand 100% of the Bible. It is my compromise.
Continuity of what? The Bible is the end product of a rather long oral and scribal tradition characterized by questionable fidelity.
Of what? The past, present and future. It is my personal opinion the Scriptures of the Hebrews were not written for the day. I believe they really wrote it for their progeny.

Or understood by those who believe in God and adhere to the Bible as God's Word. That would include both Followers of Christ (for us both the Old and New Testament) and Judaism (who do not consider the Christian NT as part of the Bible).
If you're asking can it be understood - yes. Admittedly, to varying degrees by different people based on how much study you do, and how God chooses to use the Bible for your particular Spiritual growth. I don't believe you have to be well studied and versed in Hebrew and Greek to understand the Bible and be able to use it for your Spiritual growth and for God to be able to speak to you through it.
If you believe in God and that the Bible is His Word for us, and you seek Him through it, He will be waiting for you in those pages.
If you're predetermined to find it false and useless, that's what you'll find - unless God choose different for you.

Boy, can you follow me around RF and explain to your fellow Christians that my opinion of the Bible was God's decision? Some of them seem to think I came up with it myself.
I doubt it. You seem to have a tendency for making unsubstantiated claims while thinking that you are actually saying something of substance. Hint: this is a debate forum. What you're doing is display, not debate.

I believe who wrote it had meaning. The question is; can the original meaning be understood? I believe that it can. How? Like you say, with God's help.
A book of stories and insight into males trying to understand their place in the Kosmos.
It's really that simple for me.
