I would say it's the quintessential LHP practice.
Really,,,,i don't think they're the same, I think the outcome and purpose are different,, just my opinion of course
The thing about that is, Chaos Magic has no purpose. It's a tool.
O.k. but then why label it LHP, is my point, unless you are saying that it isn't necessarily LHP, in which case I could agree with you and compromise that in and of itself chaos is neither LHP or RHP
Chaos magic is about your will your paradigm your twist. Etc chaos magic is magical system designed by the self for the self very lhp.
By that definition of LHP, yes, your right
I disagree. Chaos magic might bring chaos for chaos' sake, the Left-Hand Path breaks lines when it's beneficial for personal growth.I would say it's the quintessential LHP practice.

Exactly so many schools of magic have you "following others" but not chaos magic. I think that's why its so popular in the lhp paths.
Truth be told s chaos magic is a means to an end. Black magicand chaos magic go hand in hand.black magic essentially my will be done and chaos magic (at least hwen paired with black magic) my will be done my way
I find it interesting that it was assumed "chaos" referenced a practice rather than a state of being. That certainly wasn't my first thought.
Your take on the OP was what I meant, actually, but it's all relevant to the discussion
My first thought was of more primordial, unorganized states of existence and also this deity from classical Greece. In that context, no, chaos is not particularly affiliated in of itself. The crisis of identity the primordial, disorganized essence of chaos tends to induce, however, could certainly be contemplated under LHP contexts and is perhaps more likely to be addressed in LHP paths.
What isn't chaos?
I'm not sure what you mean by that
Is conflict chaos?
Is there conflict in understanding?
