The resurrection of Jesus.

If you have heard of these people then you know who these people are and that they give evidence contrary to your quote I responded to below.

We do know, and these are 3 sources among others that give us answers to the above questions. Thus it is not simply assertions of fact.

You may have given answers, but they are way out of the mainstream of historical thought on the subject. As I said, I lack sufficient expertise to question that thinking, that is, I do not have a Ph.d level of knowledge of Ancient Near East History, nor have I published books on the subject, and I doubt that you have either.

Claiming something does not make it so. The mainstream view is that we have no clue what anonymous author wrote the various gospels, and whoever did, the first time it ever got written down was a couple of generations after Jesus died, but we do not have that manuscript. The earliest tiny scrap we have dates from around a century after Jesus died, and we have no idea who wrote that.

Who are you claiming wrote the gospels, and what basis do you make that claim? (Of course, you would never use the claims of the gospels themselves in support of that position, right?)

wow, ok:

"After that he was seen by Peter...He was seen by James, then by all the apostles, then He was seen by me... (1 Corinthians 15:5-8)

1 Corinthians was not oral tradition it was an actual letter written by Paul to the church in Corinth, you realize that right?

Yes, but it doesn't matter, because Paul wasn't there. He's passing on what he heard, that's the oral tradition.

In brief, Paul doesn't matter. He ever met Jesus while He was alive. He's not in a position to testify to anything, unless you accept hearsay of hearsay.

Here's what you don't have: a written statement by anyone who ever laid eyes on the living Christ.

I don't know why Christians can't be satisfied with what they do have, which is really strong, good stuff.

. Since this manuscript fragment containing a small part of the Gospelof John 18 is widely considered to be dated from 90 or 110 to 125AD

... only by those who ignore papyrological dating, which places it at 150 or later.

I suspect that the "majority of scholars" who agreed that it was early either date it early just because they want to or because they made that judgment before the more recent dating methods were perfected.

The authors were not eyewitnesses. That is complete nonsense. Mark was a disciple of Peter, we don't even know who wrote Matthew, Luke was a disciple of Paul, and John definitely didn't write John.
Was Peter a disciple? Yes. What did he say in Acts 2:32 & 2 Peter 1:16? He said: God has raised this same Jesus back to life. We are all witnesses of this...With our own eyes we saw him in all his majesty.

Hi, I humbly respect that your scriptures teach Jesus was not crucified. Of course as a Christian, I believe he was. Without going into it too deeply, I simply believe the eyewitness accounts of those present at the time, I believe they were accurate and true and passed down to us in our Bible. I know many do not believe that and that's fine. I simply believe, as one would in a court of law, the eyewitnesses as opposed to another scripture, which I do respect, that came 500 some years later and said he was not crucified. I believe the accounts closer to the actual event to be stronger evidence. Thanks.

Yes i do say that Jesus was a prophet(messenger) of God as other messengers and as qur'an is the revelation of god and qur'an says that;
"That they (the wrong-doers) said (in boast), 'We killed the Christ Jesus son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah';- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them [or it appeared so unto them], and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not: Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise."

nope, the bible is the word of its WRITERS, whom i believe to have been "inspired" by god.

i do not believe that mohammed was inspired by god.

But what God says about himself
God Says;
Surah 112
He is God, the only One,
God the Everlasting.
He did not beget and is not begotten,
And none is His equal.

i agree that there should be no trinity and through my interpretation of the scriptures, do not believe that the bible teaches of such.

but i DO believe that jesus is the son of god, made flesh here on earth, was crucified, rose from the dead and returned to his father in heaven as planned, for the atonement for our sins.

no references of muhammad in the bible, just mention of a forthcoming prophet that you interpret as being him.

its from the same way that you believe that he is not. faith in my belief, just as you have in yours. the bible DOES teach that jesus is the son of god. research if interested. no need for me to quote biblical scriptures to you, for they would fall on deaf ears, just as your quran scriptures are to me..

Dear Sniper now only thing can i say is i don't ask you to change your religon because i will get no profit from this "It is only for the goodness of you that you struggle to find what is the real truth because it is your sole responsibility to find what is the truth of religon its not a simple thing you must answer about it in your life after death."
My concern was only to give you a clu now find truth yourself i recommend you that first you study bible whole heartedly with your open mind inshallah your mind will ask you questions about what you beleive and then I strongly Recommend you that you also read Holy Qur'an inshallah i beleive that if god wants to get you in light you will easily understand the loud and clear message of Almighty Allah that he is only one.
"May God Be With You"
