The theory that the Earth is 4.5 billion years old is not reliable. The list of the ancestors of Jesus is short enough to fit into a book. therefore those scientists better do some reconsidering.

Really? because I'm not even certain jesus existed. But if he did, what does that have to do with the earths age?

People seen first hand the miricles of Jesus and not only that but even if you look at sources outside of the Bible you will find mention of Jesus. Just study the Roman Empire and you will find mention of him.

And why do you take the supposed writings of ancient ignorant shepherds over testable verifiable facts?

Are you saying carbon dating is wrong? If so, why? What evidence for that assertion do you have?

If the earth is only a few thousand year sold why are all these layers, clearly marked layers, found? Why are different fossils found in different layers?

OR

Is your position?

God said it.
I believe it.
That settles it.:cover:

Well, yes, in the bible there are stories of people reporting miracles, but we have Miracles being reported today. And some of the mentions of jesus out side of the bible are known forgeries, you have no mention of mysticism from jesus outside of the bible, and those are not very good odds, if he was who he claimed to be.

The writers of the Bible seen first hand what happend During the times of Jesus, Moses and other saints. Scientists have absolutly no profe what so ever that carbon dating is accurate and according to the Bible People lived longer at the Earths beging than they do know. Some even lived for over 500 years old. I think that the Earth is maybe tens of thousands of years old but not billions.

The Apostles seen first hand what Jesus did and recorded it. If Jesus did not perform miricles then why would there have been such a comotion over him.

I think you'll find that most of us are pretty up on bible knowledge. What reason do you have for thinking anything in the bible is accurate? And how is it that you've come to this knowledge that carbon dating isn't reliable? and actually some people in the bible lived to be 950 years old, what makes you think any of that is true?

Do you have any credible, contemporary sources that legitimate historians and scholars agree upon?

We need some solid evidence, as wild, unsubstantiated claims hold no weight.

Well, considering we have no contemporary account of jesus, so, all of it is hearsay at best, there wasn't a commotion over jesus. Christianity made a slow progression to where it is today, like most religions.

The Bible is a primary source. Its writers seen first hand what happened.

People report miracles all the time. There are miracle stories in lots of religions. What makes Christian mythology exceptional?

You find mention of Christians and Christianity in historical accounts, but I'm not aware of any first-hand, eyewitness accounts of Him. No-one wrote any "I saw Him do this or that" accounts that I'm aware of.

The bible can't serve as it's own source. You think the bible is true because it says it is? That's circular logic. What about all of the other religions and their holy texts with miracles, prophecies and various other claims? Why not believe the stories of Odin, Krishna, Osiris, Zeus, etc?

There are mentions of Miricles in other religions but I also will note that Islam and Judaism also belong to the family of religions known as Abrahamism. They belive in the same God as christians. Other religions such as Hindu and Sykh don't have as many followers because they are not true. going back to your first question the Apostles seen first hand what Jesus did and recorded it.

So now truth is determined by how many people believe a proposition? I dare you to tell a hindu he has the wrong religion. And yes they are Abrahamic religions, but they all believe different things about the same god, so, you might say they are actually different gods.

Christianity only had a small following during it's infancy, so by your logic it was less true than Roman paganism during that period. Also Judaism today is much smaller than Buddhism and Hinduism, and again by your logic that makes it less true than those faiths, and if Judaism is false, then so is Christianity, Islam, Baha'i, etc. since they have their roots in Judaism. Logical fallacies won't get you far on this board.
