JW's Preach A Different Gospel

You are a "father" then and you will answer for it. Remember what the Ethiopian eunuch told Philip.
A father? Please cite Scripture.

Please quote Scripture when you make references to them (Philip and the eunuch).

Ever hear of Priscilla and Aquila? Were they "Fathers?" See Acts 18:18-19

Jesus didn't die for the sparrows, ducks or any other living thing. He died for you and me so that we might live forever.
Is that proselytizing?

You don't think it's good news that Jesus has offered you life eternal?
Please quote Jesus on that one. Preferably from G-Mark.

And what would you say Mark's gospel, in a nutshell, is?
.....how Jesus picked up John's mission, after John's arrest..... and carried it for 11 months.

And doesn't Jesus command us to go into the world and preach the gospel in Mark's writing?
Not you........ It was Paul and disciples' visions which decided that gentiles could take part., but it's good to see that you believe in the same things that JWs do. But JWs but go into the world and preach the gospel more often than, maybe?

Well, that's ok. I don't need you to trust me. The fact is men, women and children are being conditioned to believe they are superior to everyone who are not members of the JW's. They are trained to believe that anyone who doesn't accept that by the "QUESTION" Jesus asked about a faithful and discrete slave was a prophecy about the modern day GB are "MENTALLY DESEISED". It is not the people of the JW's that's at fault, it's the WTBTS and GB cult that is at fault.

That's your opinion.
Why are you so upset with the JWs? Were you a JW?
I'm trying to understand why you rant against the JWs and not some other faith or religion.
You need to understand that here, in Herne Bay, England the JWs are increasing at a very fast rate whilst other faiths and churches around here are dying. A large Baptist Church has just been converted into 9 luxury flats (as an example).

Lot's of people seem to shout about the JWs, like the OP of this thread, but people around here judge others by their actions and lifestyles, not their words, and JWs are growing ....... fast.

No, You are mistaken. I don't believe the false gospel JW's preach. The gospel I preach is the same gospel Peter preached on the day of Pentecost. Paul preached the same gospel as Peter as well as other followers of Christ did.

I have posted below the gospel Peter preached along with the gospel the JW's preach. You can see the difference if you have a mind to.

And yes, I do go into the world and preach the exact same gospel Peter, Paul and other followers of Jesus preached. I do it on a daily basis with every person who gives me the opportunity.

Acts 2
22 “Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. 23 This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross. 24 But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.
36“Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.”

THE RESPONSE OF THE PEOPLE TO THE GOOD NEWS

37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?

PETER'S ANSWER TO THE PEOPLE

38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

PETER WARNS AND PLEADS WITH THE PEOPLE

40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”

THE RESULT OF THE GOOD NEWS BEING PREACHED

41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

THE JW'S FALSE GOSPEL

"Let the honest-hearted person compare the kind of preaching of the gospel of the Kingdom done by the religious systems of Christendom during all the centuries with that done by Jehovah's Witnesses since the end of World War I in 1918. They are not one and the same kind. That of Jehovah's Witnesses is really "gospel," or "good news," as of God's heavenly kingdom that was established by the enthronement of his Son Jesus Christ at the end of the Gentile Times in 1914." I know this question was directed to djhwoodwerks, so I hope you don't mind my answering. I'm sure Don will answer you also.

First, I have never been a JW.

Secondly, those of us who believe the Bible is God's word take the command in Jude seriously.

3 Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy people.

We contend for the faith against any group that teaches contrary to God's word.

I posted for you Peter's gospel sermon from Acts 2, along with the gospel JW's preach so you can compare the two. It is up to you which gospel you choose to accept.

Each of us will stand before the judgement seat of God and give an account.

I, for one, echo the words of apostle Paul in Romans 1:16.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

That's your opinion. Please "READ" my posts before you comment on them, so you know what is being said. I have never been a JW, but have had a few come to my house and where I work. So I started studying their beliefs and could not believe what they taught. So I decided to bring them the real truth of the Bible.

2Co 11:12-15 (ESVST) 12 And what I am doing I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. 13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

The reason JWs get picked on is that they claim to come in the name of JEHOVAH. They claim to speak for the "Judge of all the Earth". Genesis 18:25 Other religions do not do that.

Even Jesus says, "I do not come to judge the Earth". John 3:17 But JWs teach judging and they judge that people will be guilty for not siding with the Truth. Is everyone aware that they call themselves "The Truth"? Jesus is the Truth. John 14:6.

If Jesus is the truth, and they call themselves the truth isn't that the same as was warned about? Matthew 24:5

I've talked to a LOT of J.W.'s that include loving members of my own family and never once
have I heard them claim, in any way, that they are the truth.
Never.
I have often heard them say that they are IN the truth, simply a different way of saying
"we are J.W.'s".
Like a Republican saying " with the Grand Old Party". It's simply a descriptive claim,
not a claim that they are "the" anything.
" I'm in the organization" isn't a claim that a person IS that organization.
Boy, J.W.'s sure have been taking a whooping on RF of late.
Why is that?

Is the organization the truth? If yes, then everyone who disagrees is lying. Liars will not inherit God's kingdom. How is this not so?

This is true. Please pay attention. It is not bashing or is telling the truth bashing? I do not think so.

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. The Bible says so and I believe it.

It is the truth that the Jehovah's Witnesses believe the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses is the only way to obey God correctly, that God has chosen them to preach the truth, and only them, and that if you will obey God through them God will grant you everlasting life.

Can you see how they call themselves the way, the truth and the life? It is not OK to call yourself the way, the truth and the life.

They are warning us that if we do not leave our unrighteous ways then we will not be found worthy of everlasting life. That is OK. But are they righteous for everlasting life? After all these years of humankind on the Earth has God really set up another man's kingdom to be the truth? Why isn't Jesus good enough, according to You?

Like most doctrines the Watchtower has it wrong when it comes to the cross of Christ.
Jesus was crucified on a cross.
1. The Greek word 'Stauros' can mean multiple things like a "T" an "X" along with the rare upright stake (for what Jesus was crucified on).
2. The Bible says Jesus had nails (more than one) in his hands. If it only was a stake, they would have used only one.
3. The Bible also says his arms were "outstretched" meaning stretched outward which shows his arms were not above him as on a stake.
4. A sign was placed "above his head" which wouldn't happen on a stake. It would have been above his hands. So he was crucified on a cross. That's what the bible and history says.
So having scripture interpret scripture, we see THAT scripture proves Jesus died on a Cross. Sadly the Watchtower Completely Misinforms it's members :(

To expound on that JFish, I would like to show how the WT uses half truths to make their doctrine ring true. If you read their teaching on the cross in their "Reasoning from the Scriptures" book, this is what the first paragraph says:

*** rs p. 89 Cross ***
Why do Watch Tower publications show Jesus on a stake with hands over his head instead of on the traditional cross?

The Greek word rendered “cross” in many modern Bible versions (“torture stake” in NW) is stau·rosʹ. In classical Greek, this word meant merely an upright stake, or pale. Later it also came to be used for an execution stake having a crosspiece. The Imperial Bible-Dictionary acknowledges this, saying: “The Greek word for cross, [stau·rosʹ], properly signified a stake, an upright pole, or piece of paling, on which anything might be hung, or which might be used in impaling [fencing in] a piece of ground. . . . Even amongst the Romans the crux (from which our cross is derived) appears to have been originally an upright pole.”—Edited by P. Fairbairn (London, 1874), Vol. I, p. 376.

*** rs p. 90 par. 1 Cross ***
...Thus the weight of the evidence indicates that Jesus died on an upright stake and not on the traditional cross.

which is marked by red brackets from the actual IBD below. Notice, they stop their quote at "pole", but if you read the rest of what it has to say, it proves that the cross was the more accurate and commonly used method during the time Jesus was crucified. I wonder why the complete description wasn't used. Please pay careful attention to the last paragraph of the definition from the dictionary the WT uses to argue that Jesus died on a stake. Does the "WEIGHT OF EVIDENCE" from the IBD which the WT quotes, indicate that Jesus died on a stake or more accurately a cross?
You be the judge! This is just "ONE" example of how the WT uses half truths, and how they don't disclose all information provided to deceive and trick it's members into believing it's doctrines.

Some of the following is impossible to read, but the relevant parts are.

You don't need to be a prophet in order to make a prophecy.

proph·e·cy
ˈpräfəsē/
noun
noun: prophecy; plural noun: prophecies
a prediction.
"a bleak prophecy of war and ruin"
synonyms: prediction, forecast, prognostication, prognosis, divination, augury
"her prophecy is coming true"
So, while you may prefer to refer to the WT/GB as making "failed predictions," it's certainly no more politically correct, unless, that is, your politics is one of defending the reputation of JWs.
Is that what your politics are?

That's irrelevant, I'll stick with "failed predictions" since they are against calling what the GB has done prophecies. They claim the GB has made no prophecies because they don't claim to be prophets. So I'll just call them failed predictions. But, thank you for your input.

Hey, you're the one who made the distinction. If you don't find it relevant than why waste your time addressing it? No need to answer; I recognize a drop and run tactic when I see it.

The JW's don't cast their "pearls before swine", but if you ask them, they will tell you they alone have the truth and any hope for paradise earth.

*** w73 7/1 p. 402 par. 4 Praise Jehovah with His People ***

4 Consider, too, the fact that Jehovah’s organization alone, in all the earth, is directed by God’s holy spirit or active force. (Zech. 4:6) Only this organization functions for Jehovah’s purpose and to his praise. To it alone God’s Sacred Word, the Bible, is not a sealed book. Many persons of the world are very intelligent, capable of understanding complex matters. They can read the Holy Scriptures, but they cannot understand their deep meaning. Yet God’s people can comprehend such spiritual things. Why? Not because of special intelligence on their part, but as the apostle Paul declared: “For it is to us God has revealed them through his spirit, for the spirit searches into all things, even the deep things of God.” (1 Cor. 2:10) Jesus Christ praised his heavenly Father for ‘hiding such things from the wise and intellectual ones but revealing them to babes.’ (Matt. 11:25) How very much true Christians appreciate associating with the only organization on earth that understands the “deep things of God”!

*** w81 2/15 p. 19 Do We Need Help to Understand the Bible? ***

Rather, the record that the “faithful and discreet slave” organization has made for the past more than 100 years forces us to the conclusion that Peter expressed when Jesus asked if his apostles also wanted to leave him, namely, “Whom shall we go away to?” (John 6:66-69) No question about it. We all need help to understand the Bible, and we cannot find the Scriptural guidance we need outside the “faithful and discreet slave” organization.

According to the WT organization, no one has to go to Jesus for salvation any longer, we only need the "ORGANIZATION"

*** w93 9/15 p. 22 They Compassionately Shepherd the Little Sheep ***

But if we were to draw away from Jehovah’s organization, there would be no place else to go for salvation and true joy.

*** w81 11/15 p. 21 par. 18 ‘Stay Awake and Keep Your Senses’ ***
And while now the witness yet includes the invitation to come to Jehovah’s organization for salvation,

If this doesn't say they think they have it "ALL" I don't know what else would.
