World DEBT ~ Jewish Jubilee

Recently 1 stumbled upon an ancient jewish tradition/law
which i think is due for discussion.
it is the Jewish Jubilee.
There are Holy Days Celebrations and Feasts,
which include Sabbaths, Shmitas and the 7x7+1 = Jubilee.
This Jewish law/tradition requires that every Jubilee [50 years]
all debts are forgiven.
This [i am told] is meant to break and vicious cycles of tyranny and prevent poverty. Though depending on how it is applied it may backfire in a horrific way.

According to this law all global debt must be forgiven on this Jubilee [2019/2020?]. This would reshape the world economy.
1 stumbled upon this researching the aztec/olmec/nahua/maya calendar regarding 2012, i found that many precessional calendars end in this era between 2000 and 2020, over 40 calendars end [the 26000 yr cycle].
The best estmates of the jewish calendar being sometime in 2010/2020.

So who invented Money/Credit?
Quite an idea ... because that’s all money is "An Idea".
Ideas can change.
The most common answer of the beginning of money being barter and trade isnt good enough for me, because in communities its easy to kepp track of who is pulling their weight.
So the real answer must involve the aim of a global society, and its subsiquent manipulation and dominatiion.

The Year of Jubilee is one of the finer points of Judaism, I must admit. However, other ancient societies also had similar practices. In ancient Egypt, my own spiritual heritage, the Pharaohs often forgave the debts of the whole nation during times of celebration over an event. Any Pharaoh considered good by the people forgave the nation's debts at least once in their lifetime.

Jubilee years apply only to the land of Israel when all Jews live in Israel with the Temple being there and we Jews are not being oppressed by all other idiots.

Its funny that people don't want us Jews living in Israel but want our laws that apply only in Israel to apply to them at the same time.

There are two things to address here.

First off, the old stereotype about Jews owning all or some great portion of the world's wealth is nothing but anti-Semitic claptrap. It ought to be noted that the YouTube video that is the source cited here for said contention is just another product of some Jew-hating conspiracy theorists who have clearly been influenced by some of the old anti-Semitic libels floating around, like the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

Jews do not control money. Jews are not, monolithically, involved in any conspiracies. Such ideas are both false and extremely offensive. We did not invent the ideas of money or credit, nor do we have some innate affinity for them.

And we really do not own all the wealth. Such ideas became prevalent in the late Middle Ages, after Christian countries had prohibited Jewish residents from owning land, and from taking up nearly all trades and professions, and had forced Jews into money lending and banking, because they believed that Christians should not lend or borrow from one another (though they often did so, anyway). But financial professions were never something Jews sought to control. The stereotype became fixed, though, when the Russian forgery The Protocols of the Elders of Zion became popular toward the end of the 19th century, and the same anti-Semitic libels were shortly afterward taken up and used by the Nazi propaganda machine, which spread the slanders of Jewish conspiracy theories.

Second, however, is the concept of the Shmitah (Sabbatical) and Yovel (Jubilee) cycles. These are ancient institutions, ordained in the Torah. At every Shmitah, slaves and prisoners would be released, contracts and debts would be cancelled or nullified, and farming of all kinds would not be done for the entire year. The idea was that just as there is a day of rest on every seventh day, when we do no work, conduct no business, and do not farm, every seventh year this should be done on a far larger scale, allowing all things to rest for a year, and begin again afterward fresh and new. After seven cycles of Shmitah (49 years), the fiftieth (following) year would be a Yovel, wherein not only would all the same things happen as in a Shmitah year, but all land purchased or traded would revert to its original assignment amongst the tribes of Israel.

Since the late Second Temple Period, there has not been a complete and full Yovel, in part because tribal identities have become muddled and confused, and so true reversion to original assignments have become lost.

But since the Mishnaic Period (turn of the Common Era), there have also been changes to Shmitah. Hillel the Elder, who was one of our greatest sages, found that the complete and total release of all debts and contracts was undermining the successful functioning of a society increasingly less agricultural and more mercantile. Thus, he created a legal device called Prozbol, in which the holder of a debtor's note or the parties to a contract could transfer the note of debt or the authority of the contract to the courts, which, not being an individual, were not obligated by the laws of release for the Shmitah. Once the Shmitah year had passed, the debts or contracts were returned by the courts to those who had previously held them. Without the Prozbol, Jewish society would have imploded from the collapse of credit and lending.

If we were to introduce a Yovel or Shmitah cycle into secular society, it would have to be carefully modified, to ensure that it did not irrepairably damage the global credit and banking systems, and perhaps the various national systems of jurisprudence, also. Perhaps the debts of countries below a certain GNP might be eligible for release, but not those above. Or perhaps release might not be total, but on a curve, with poor countries eligible for total or near total release, and wealthier countries only eligible for small to moderate relief from debt. But in any case, I doubt that a nullification of contracts could be sustainable-- that element of Shmitah would almost certainly have to go.

Since we are a society that imprisons violent offenders, rather than using corporal or capital punishment on them all, summarily, there would have to be agreement that violent offenders would receive no guaranteed release for Shmitah or Yovel. And perhaps even some non-violent offenders might be deemed eligible not for commutation of sentence, but merely for early parole.

And I think that any introduction of Shmitah/Yovel would have to be only financial and social: I think that it would be madness to expect the world to cease agriculture for a year, or even part of a year.

The New Heaven

The Revelation prophesy speaks of a new world. America has been called The New World since it was discovered by Columbus.
The bible states that there will be “a New World”, “a New Heaven, a New Jerusalem”, and also several verses indicate that the people of this [future] “Promised Land” [flowing with Milk and Honey] “Shall speak with new tongues” –[Mark 16:17].
Because Christianity spread northwards from Jerusalem it is obvious that it was introduced to peoples with new languages [tongues], including Yiddish/German [2 languages which are identical in many ways], French, and of course the best language of all English [a compilation of Hebrew/German structure, Latin and Greek].

The New World
America’s exploration of space [I believe] constitutes “The New Heaven”. Its hard for anyone to deny that America [NOT Cannan] was the promised land [13 colonies] from the beginning.
