Yes, it is due to vector graphics; which means no matter how big the resolution, it still maintains its aspect ratio. Is there a reason for the 'flat' look?
I don't like it either. I actually did like 8.1 on my Surface. It did make sense to me, not at first, but I got used to it. Win 10 I'm still not sold on. At first it didn't work properly on my Surface either. Drawing out of sync. News articles linking to the wrong texts, and much more. Bleh. Why did they make Windows 10 look so ugly? Is there a reason for the 'flat' look?
The only good thing with it is the battery saving mode. The battery lasts slightly longer.Other than all the spyware in Windows 10, it is the most stable so far....Plus runs loads faster.
That's making me feel unhappy, because most people don't do all of those things. They just want the computer to work like a kitchen appliance. What about those people? Maybe there is some kind of 50$ utility that handles all that shloop?Windows 10 is better than 8 or 8.1 once you spend a LOT of hours getting rid of the bloatware and the apps that phone home and configure updates properly and do much more tuning than was required for earlier Windows.
Hours? Never heard of Google? Just Google and you'll find all sorts of handy programs and regedits that'll do it for you.Windows 10 is better than 8 or 8.1 once you spend a LOT of hours getting rid of the bloatware and the apps that phone home and configure updates properly and do much more tuning than was required for earlier Windows.
I don't think there's any utility to clean up a Windows 10 installation. Here is a set of web sites I foundThat's making me feel unhappy, because most people don't do all of those things. (Shloop is not anything dirty and refers to clutter laying about on the floor which gets in the way of walking.)
So far, I've no complaints about Edge.I'm liking 10 better than 8. "Edge" I'm giving a fair try, but so far I'm not really impressed.
Windows 7 had that as well. It's less divine and less omnipotent than you might imagine.'God' mode? Seriously? I gotta get me a copy of that OS!
If it is not there now, it will sure come up. In Win 7, a simple batch file decided for me what is necessary and what is not necessary in services.Maybe there is some kind of 50$ utility that handles all that shloop?
