I am all for that!!!!!Is it possible to find common ground on the ideas that democracy is good and inciting insurrection is bad? Or is that too divisive?
The "sheep" and the "goats" are choosing sides now.
This is the basis for being a Republican? And bringing unity? You did not ask me but you probably include me so I'm answering.
Trump embodies every one of the Seven Deadly Sins
Vainglory/Pride
Trump’s ego drives him. He has been consistently inconsistent when it comes to policy ideas, but his commitment to Donald Trump is absolute.
...
Wrath
When Trump’s temper flares, he is his own worst enemy....
Sloth
A President Rubio or Romney probably could have gotten a health care bill passed. Trump didn’t do the necessary work. Despite claiming that he has very little time to watch TV, aides say he is constantly fixated on cable news programs (and he often tweets responses to Fox & Friends in real time)....
Gluttony or the Lack of Self Control
It’s no secret that Trump loves KFC, well-done steak with ketchup and “beautiful" chocolate cake for those occasions when he’s bombing Syria. But Trump’s main sin in this realm is his inability to control his impulses....
Lust
From his Playboy past to Howard Stern interviews boasting that he would date his daughter if she weren’t a relative...
Envy
Trump’s Twitter tantrums expose a jealousy for his rivals and a constant attempt to measure up to them. He is obsessed with the fact that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote.
Can't argue what is. Never denied what has happened.Well, Donald Trump was just impeached yesterday in the most bipartisan impeachment vote in the history of the United States.
So, there's that.
Ohhh... so the left are saints that has never forgotten about common ground when it had power. The right has never been about common ground when it has power. Then it's all about power and division.
Impeachment is the guaranty that he won't come back.Impeachment at this late stage of the game seems a waste of time and resources.
Trump is gone anyways.
Not very uplifting when there need to be 17 out of 50 in the Senate. But I think that's a different situation.Ten out of 211 as verified by yesterday's impeachment vote.
Actually, until the 6th, the "mainstream media" was not leading with any bleeding. They were reporting on the right-wing nutjobs, led by the likes of Giuliani and Powell, screaming about election fraud. They were reporting on the failed BS lawsuits. They were reporting on Trump and company's continued lies about election fraud. They were reporting on the court cases that found that Trump's allegations were lies.Right now we have a very wide division in the country.
This is amplified by all media using the idea that "if it bleeds, it leads".
Not if he is convicted of this:

Yep. A non-partisan court trial will suffice to bar him from office if he is found guilty. No Senate trial needed to ensure this. The impeachment charge is incitement of insurrection.
Trump will not be removed from being a political threat.I merely want him out of politics.
..
but removing the political threat to our country of Trump is more important to me
The impeachment vote for Nixon was 412 to 3. So this vote was no where close to being the most bipartisan impeachment vote of the US.That was the most bipartisan vote for impeachment the US has ever had.
So maybe some unity may result from this after all.
The House tends to be far more partisan than the Senate. The members are in constant campaign mode due to their two year terms. They cannot afford to take the long term view. So ten Republicans crossing the line is very significant.
LoL! There would be special interest stories from inside the mob in the capitol if the Left occupied it for like 3 months like Portland. Pelosi would claim she "donated" her office to be used!I think it would make news like it did with Seattle.
I mean anybody left or right storming the Capitol would make the news. How couldn't it?
Thing I'd be asking if the left would condone and support such a thing as they did as with Seattle among others.
Too few. (Except when it's about the military or corporate welfare.)I think that also cuts both ways for the good. There are representatives from both sides that are able to work bipartisan.
DUH!I don't think so. The very act of impeachment is also done by those who are addicted to political power. How can we determine who is addicted to power and who is doing it out of a sincere heart?
And yet you supported and furthered lies and conspiracy theories about the election.I am all for that!!!!!
Following the rule of law is the very foundation of a Republic.
You denied the legitimate results of the election.Never denied what has happened.
A better guarantee would a fatal heart attack.Impeachment is the guaranty that he won't come back.
