Okay for you I'm gonna but myself on a limb here and probably get kicked out of every "christian" mind set or allies that I might bhave
Biblicaly speaking their is nothing wrong with Masturbation or watching Porno. Now it is bad to lust for women, however there is one big thing that stands in the way; marriage. If your not married it is allowed, however once you make those wedding vows you are locked togther.
I take this position because of what scripture says. Jesus never gets close to telling us about this topic. Except in one oocasion where he says "Anyone who looks lustful at another woman commits adultary." How can you commit adultary if your not married? Oh course this is my opinion and I could be wrong but it seems likely.
I'm certainly not going to kick you out of my mind for your personal views - even though I still have Christian 'bits' in me.
I would disagree with you though, because, like every thing else in the world, exposure to too much of anything lowers our way of reacting to it in the future - at worst, it can even make us become something we would never have thought of being in the past.
The police here are permanently on the prowl for paedophiles - computers are taken away, and the drives 'trawled' through to see if there is any incriminating evidence.
I think there is an inherent danger (For the police) in that. Not long ago, there was a murder of a young girl here in England - I can't think of her name, and it is unimportant for the purposes. The policeman in charge of befriending and comforting the family of the girl who was sexually abused was later found to have paedophelic material on his computer. Can you imagine how that must have made the girl's family feel like?
The point I am trying to make is that too much of anything devalues the enjoyment of it in the future - at best. Worst case scenario is that too much exposure renders us desensatized, and therefore open to finding 'something better'.
There is no way that I am going to sit here and say that I don't masturbate, or that I haven't seen pornography;however, given the chance to re-live my life knowing what I now know, I thinkl I would avoid both. But that is only my viewpoint.
