He may also have discovered a way to lengthen his lifespan. I think he's using dark medicine: cloning himself and having spare parts sewn in to keep himself young. Soon he will be able to have new skin sewn to his flesh, too. We are looking at maybe 200 more years with him ruling that country.

Stevicus I am only half-joking. He is unnaturally healthy for his age. He's probably going to live a lot longer than normal. I suspect that is going to be true for a lot of wealthy people. You can do a lot of things which recently were not possible like buy blood, buy organs, have parts grown, etc. Even a human heart has been grown in a lab though it has not been installed into anybody. So my joke is half true. We may be looking at a very long lived philosopher king.

My greatest objection is that absolute authority grows insanity within a leader. I have always thought of modern Russians as pragmatic and realistic, but this enthroning stuff indicates they are close to ignoring reality -- if the rumor is true.
