I voted for Bush for both terms and I'd do it again if the choice were between him and Al Gore or him and John Kerry. I tend to vote for the person who I'd like to see over and over again for four years straight. I couldn't stand listening to Al Gore talk and he looked like plastic. Come on, a guy who wears that much make up should be on a stage in Las Vegas - not the White House. He still annoys me when I see him. John Kerry was way too arrogant and don't get me started on his wife. John Edwards didn't help either (again...he seems to have the same annoying accent that Gore has).

Of the three, George Bush seems like the one who I'd like to sit down and have dinner with. He seems the most real to me. I like leaders that I can relate to. That's why I proudly voted for Bush the first time and reluctantly the second time. I don't necessarily agree with everything that he's done, but I believe his intentions are in the right place.

Sometime in the 90s, Floyd Spence's cousin talked me into voting for Spence for Congress. I regret that now. Other than that, I haven't voted for any Republican for over twenty years, and I intend never to vote for one again. Even so, I never imagined they'd produce an administration as corrupt and incompetent as the present one. I'm still amazed, and still angry, that anybody voted for him in 2004.

We need the person who is most QUALIFIED TO LEAD A COUNTRY, not the person you'ld invite over for dinner. If you don't agree with anything he's done and you voted for him ANYWAYS....its probably best I say no more....:areyoucra

I don't hold to any particular party exclusively. Nothing in this world is black and white, so saying you're only going to vote for one party is like refusing to see any grey. I'd definately consider voting for John McCain if he were to get the Republican nomination, I'd actually like to see a bi-partisan ticket for once, featuring McCain and Wesley Clark.

I had this idea of eliminating the running mate and giving the runner up in an election the vice presidency, but upon further thought I figured this would just lead to assassinations.

BTW I consider myself a libertarian.

I never said I was only going to vote for one party. I'm willing to vote for Greens, Socialists, Libertarians, and Democrats -- but not for Republicans. (Well, it's been a long time since I voted for a Libertarian, to be honest.)

That's the way it was originally done. It didn't lead to any assassinations, but it did make things awkward every now and then.

Because that's a great reason to vote for someone! Don't be bothered by what the issues are or who's more qualified. Vote for someone based solely on looks and mannerisms that appeal to you!

Sorry. Just hate it when people vote for politicians based on superficial nonesense instead of issues and qualification.

I'll admit it, I would have voted for Bush but that is only because I was entirely ignorant of politics and was only going off of who my friends were saying would be a better president. It's sad, I know.

I hate to break it to you, Johnny, but down here, you're the one with the annoying accent. ;)

I'm trying to remember the last time I voted for a Presidential candidate in either of the major parties. Early 80s, maybe? Late 70s? Somewhere around then.

I didn't vote for him either time. I figured the first time around that he was definately "second string" and the second time around that he was too divisive, among other things.

i think i might have voted for Bush the first time around- only because he came across rather well back in 2000. he sounded confident, engaging, and easy-going. and of course that's what attracted alot of voters to him initially.

but i did not vote for him the second time around. i voted for Kerry. what had been happening in Iraq and around the world as a result of Bush's policies and politics was not something i wanted to see continue. and he was and still is winning us more enemies than allies (basically zero allies). he's not good for this country, and he's not good for the rest of the world.
