What would happen if any religion were right?

Smoke

Done here.
What would happen if there were a religion that was really right?

Imagine a religion that made no unsubstantiated truth claims, that was accessible and verifiable to all, and really had the power to transform its adherents into mindful, compassionate people.

How would people react to such a religion?

They wouldn't call it a religion.

Yeah, they'd call it a "philosophy". So far as I can see, the closest any religion comes for most people to the ideal presented in the OP is Buddhism, although that might not be too close. And when people who hate religion, but still know three or four facts about Buddhism, get together they are careful to call Buddhism a "philosophy" because they can't stand to think of it in the same breath with other religions.

"How would people react to such a religion?"

Like Sunstone pointed our your "religion" sounds more like philosophy, and while most people like philosophy many of those still prefer their fairy tale.

Superstition is built into the brains of humans. Mythology is not going away. Do you think god fearing jesus lovers would risk their souls by taking up a different worldview? No way.

How would people react to such a religion?

All religions already have this ability, the vast majority choose not to use it.

The only people who do not have this ability at the moment are Atheists and Scientists, albeit science is catching up.

How would people react to such a religion, the same way people react now, those pro religion would accept it in their stride, those against would deny it and believe there was some sort of trick or conspiracy happening.

This is like ordering a pepperoni pizza, then asking them to hold the pepperoni, hold the cheese, hold the sauce, and hold the dough.

How delicious would that pizza be?

Most would point their finger at their neighbor and say, "Hey! You should really look into this"!

How would people react to such a religion......Just the same as they do now ;)
They would declare it to good to be true and start looking for the flaws and all it's followers would be just another bunch of nuts who can't think for themselves.....:D
