What is the rationale for your belief in the existence of a superfluous God?

What Gambit means by "a superfluous God" is a contingent God, which he would agree that God certainly is not.

Seems to me you've already expressed your bias by the above question.... God is "superfluous" for you and yet your Sanskrit motto when translated reads: "commitment to the Īśvara ("Lord")"

You're wrong. I don't believe God is superfluous. It doesn't appear that you bothered to read the original post of this thread.

That the freaking point!! It has been for centuries! The God conceived is not God. It's not a revolutionary idea.

Then God and all of the arguments for it are pointless as an abstract does not become a reality.

It's Neoplatonism, BTW. Outdated? What planet do you live on? And even if it were "outdated," it's totally irrelevant.

It is outdated since none of it can be tested nor reflects reality. Empiricism replaced it centuries ago.

The point is not irrelevant as it shows people still cling to outdated ideas when better ideas are available.
