I will post here open Vajrayana Buddhist events regularly, for those who wish to know what happens around them, seeking to learn more or experienced practitionners alike.

If you want to add some yourself, feel free to. Just please, bear 3 things in mind if possible:

Post events from qualified teachers or a recognized lineage to avoid confusion and mix between Buddhists events and self-help/new age/etc events.​

Be mindful of tantric secrecy and/or pre-requisites of certain events that might not be accessible to everyone.​

Please don't debate let's try to keep this thread debate and discussion-free so events are clearly displayed and accessible. Like a repository more than a discussion thread.​

Other: Registration is mandatory to attend in person ! Be sure to check the event on the website so you can access the form to register. Anyone can attend, it is a good occasion to receive blessings, meet the sangha and ask questions. Drupon-la is a recognized teacher and an amazing person, and the temple team (Ani-la) and visiting Lamas are equally great people and serious practitioners.

Event : Gampopas Jewel ornament of Liberation teaching
Led by: Lama Glenn Mullins

When : Every Thursday 3PM EST starting March 21, for 12 weeks.

The Jewel Ornament of Liberation is a key text in the Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism that is said to capture the essence of both the Kadampa and Kagyüpa lineages of Mahayana teachings. The text was written by Gampopa, the main disciple of Milarepa.
Lama Glenn will give a commentary and in depth teachings on this precious text. He received the transmission first in the 70s in Dharamsala from some of the greatest Lamas of the Gelug school and will pass it now on to anyone interested in understanding Gampopa's presentation of the path to enlightenment.

Event : Complete Sakya ngondro teaching/practice

Led by: The 3 Sakya lineage holders

Lineage: Sakya

When : Every Wednesday from feb 7th to march 13th, 7:30pm PT

For those who have interest in tantra as taught in vajrayana Buddhism, the ngondro is the very essential preliminary to those practices. It is here a good opportunity to receive those preliminaries and teachings about them directly from the éminents grandsons of the Sakya lineage.
