Trump is Everything That Trumpers Say They Hate

Trump is everything that Trumpers say they hate.
He’s a guy who’s never done a hard day’s work.
He’s the type who is an unrepentant jerk.
He’d be poor if he’d not gotten cash from Dad.
He’d seduce your wife and never feel bad.

Trump is everything his sycophants disdain.
He attended just exclusive rich-boy schools.
He has never ever owned a set of tools.
He’s too pampered to even drive his own damn car.

He would never buy you beers when in a bar.
Trump has all the traits found in a crappy boss.
He’d not pay you for your hours of overtime.
He'd all but tell you “you are not as smart as I’m”.
He would pit you against your colleagues just for fun
and then fire you before your pension’s won.
Nonetheless, his followers love him
in measure equal to
how much Trump despises them
and all that they’ve been through.
They say sometimes that beggars can’t be choosers,
still, why bow down to a guy who thinks you’re losers.

It's a very real possibility that a minority of American voters will elect Trump again, and I doubt they understand the full extent of the threat he poses, globally and domestically. Trump has the advantage of makeup and hair dye, and a sureal angst against ethics, stability, and normalcy. The majority of conservative voters are truly duped. I suspect most Americans won't feel a direct effect by his election, but my concern is the long term effect and decline of stability and social norms. There will be thousands of government staffers carried over from the Biden presidency, but how many will stay, only to be replaced by poorly qualified applicants? We know all major departments of the government will be head by unqualified people, and likely will direct unethical directives to staffers. The federal government could collapse from the inside out. This could be very bad. The only thing left is the courts, but I doubt the administration will honor any decisions they don't like.

If a federal judge orders humane treatment of migrants and the Trump adminsitration refuses, what can the courts do? Our system is built on mutual trust and respect, and with Trump that will be eliminated. It will be the executive branch as it faces down congress. The house will likley become democrat, but the senate will likley become republican. The senate can confrim any judges they want. They can confirm any cabinet member they want. The House will be alone as the only advocate for the people and for democacy. This is a dangerous scenario.
