Top Three Threads

List your 3 threads which have generated the most replies. Were you expecting these to generate a lot of discussion? Are you glad they did? Are you annoyed that any of them did?

(if you click on 'my topics' at the top of the screen, you can see a list of all threads you have started, along with replies/views.)

My top three:

Scientific Evidence Supporting Intelligent Design - 433 replies
Ironically, should be the shortest thread in existence!

http://www.religiousforums.com/foru...c-evidence-supporting-intelligent-design.html

Agnostic Doesn't Fall Between Theist and Atheist - 309 replies
Generated a lot of heated semantical debate. Turned me off of posting threads about definitions for good.

It All Comes Down to Faith - 284 replies
Started off good, and on topic, but quickly devolved into a hodge-podge of barely-related topics and arguments. I stopped following it myself after the first few pages.

What are you playing?
473 posts..
"What are you"-threads are always an easy one to fill in.
I expected this one to do as well.

Beat the picture
253 posts
Have done this game at many forums. Mostly they get as many posts as this one and then a new thread gets created Beat the picture 2 or so. This is because the links in a thread tend do die and the thread is much funnier when all pictures are working.
I do not know if a second beat the picture was made here btw..

Beat the aaaawwwwwness
195 posts..
Well ofcourse that one was going to work.. Cute animals, hello!!!

Looking back at this I am quite the supplier for the intelligent threads aren't I? :sarcastic

I am not coming anywhere near any of your figures

http://www.religiousforums.com/foru...00-you-ready-inevitable-zombie-holocaust.html 87 Replies didn't expect this to be as popular as it was, I knew a few hopeless geeks wouldn't be able to resist of course :D

http://www.religiousforums.com/forum/contests/83142-what-baggins-doing-today.html 74 replies what can I say I shamelessly pinned my coat tails to an A lister to get some of the crumbs that fell from his table

http://www.religiousforums.com/forum/general-religious-debates/83020-dumb-stump.html 64 replies I had no expectations of this and it would have had approximately 20 replies if a few people hadn't started making bad wood puns in it, they just wooden stop :)

I also find the number of views interesting, not just the number of follow up posts.

1. The Challenge in the Qur'an: 850 replies, 8,376 views!
2. What book(s) are you reading now? 541 replies, 13,277 views!
3. Stoning: Is it really all that bad? 521 replies, 4,833 views!

others that generated a lot of reading, but less direct replies were:

4. Take the YmirGF challenge!!! (Please) 111 replies but 3,245 views.
5. Mystics Only: Extended Discussion 150 replies, 4,704 views.
6. Oneness 66 replies, with 2,632 views.

All in all, I am more interested in the realm of ideas than I am in about such illusory concepts like "truth", so I take my hits and misses as they come. I do find that in topics where I get general agreement, things get pretty dull, pretty fast. It's when there is a bone of contention that sparks things up. I love it.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
1. You're invited to a Tea Party - 368 replies - figured that one would be pretty active

2. Contraception - What have you done for me lately? 292 replies (that one really surprised me)

3. Why is Obama labeled "black?" - 244 replies. This one had, I think, the most varied responses and opinions and I enjoyed reading these the most

It's like some terrible RF rorscharch test in that I immediately went to these threads...
http://www.religiousforums.com/forum/general-discussion/80701-children-witches-tortured.html 97 replies (3rd place was a close call as had a few other threads in the 90s)
Couldn't post in that one. Just appalling.
