Thelemic Kiblah destroyed by Fire

Octavia156

OTO/EGC
Crowley purchased Boleskine House in 1899 in order to perform the operation found in The Book of the Sacred Magick of Abra-Melin the Mage. This is a mammoth opration requiring a six-month long ritual of complex evocations - however it was cut abruptly short and left uncompleted when Crowley had to take an emergency trip to Paris to address a serious issue that was occuring with the Gold Dawn at the at that time.

Those of a more superstitous inclination have propsed that the inompleteness of the working left a number of spiritual forces "unbanished" and thus the house has been suspected to have been haunted ever since.

Aleister Crowley considered Boleskine to be the Thelemic Kiblah, the holiest of shrines. It is is mentioned by name in several rituals written by Crowley, and is identified with the East. It is considered to be the focal point of the magical energies (also called the 93 Current) of the Aeon of Horus, similar to Jerusalem of Christianity and Mecca of Islam.
Specifically the Gnostic Mass (described in Liber XV) and the Ritual of the Mark of the Beast (in Liber V) both identify the principal orientation (sometimes known as "Magical East") as being towards Boleskine.

Sabalius (X* of USGL of OTO) notes in 1998:

Thus, the location of Boleskine House is to be the Omphalos or Center of Power for Thelema, and is to continue as such for the duration of the Aeon of Horus, regardless of the physical presence of the Stèle or of the house itself. Thus, O.T.O. Lodges, Profess-Houses and Gnostic Mass Temples are ideally to be oriented towards Boleskine.

On the 23rd December 2015 a fire (of criminally non-suspious origin) broke out at Boleskine House on the south-eastern side of Loch Ness at around 1.40pm and a large part of the mansion was destroyed.

Thelemites around the world were at first dismayed by the news, until we found solice (and synchronicity) in this verse of our Holy Book (Liber AL vel Legis):

"34. But your holy place shall be untouched throughout the centuries: though with fire and sword it be burnt down & shattered, yet an invisible house there standeth, and shall stand until the fall of the Great Equinox; when Hrumachis shall arise and the double-wanded one assume my throne and place. Another prophet shall arise, and bring fresh fever from the skies; another woman shall awakethe lust & worship of the Snake; another soul of God and beast shall mingle in the globed priest; another sacrifice shall stain the tomb; another king shall reign; and blessing no longer be poured To the Hawk-headed mystical Lord!"
(III:34)
