Is perhaps one of the best known songs of the duo, Simon and Garfunkel. Anyone who was alive anytime from the 1960's to well into the 1980's and beyond, is likely to have heard either the original album version, or the newer arrangment from the Concert in Central Park, 1981. It was re-released in 1997 and was well recieved. I do like that version.

But the current musical group, Disturbed, has released a cover, which I find quite excellent. I do like the way it was redone just enough, to make it their own.

    Enjoy.

Nice but prefer the original. Perhaps if the S&G version were not so iconic it would mean more to me?

Usually I'm not a fan of groups covering other people's songs but this one rocked and especially iconic songs. But this one is most excellent.

I do a version of this that lands somewhere between S&G/Disturbed. This guy nailed it, as far as I'm concerned (although I find the rest of their material somewhat annoying as well as disturbing).

Sorry. but the little girl has no concept of the meaning of the song, and it shows. Also, there are a lot of studio effects in play here. But that's just my take....

I just wish you'd quit linking to Bing.... :D They have made it where you cannot just listen to a vid, it automagically goes to the next in whatever random sequence the Powers That Be choose...

I have to click the little "youtube" linky, and? It's annoying.:p

Agreed... she's over-singing it, especially there towards the end.

On the other hand, the Holly Henry one is almost too ethereal, but that's Holly's style-- I've watched quite a few of her covers.

Concurrently, your can never do a song better than the person who wrote it. Having said that, you can definitely like other singer's version of the song (re: Bob Dylan).

Not bad. I think I'm still partial to the original Simon and Garfunkel version, though.
