Langan just redefines the interactions between fundamental particles as occurring between subjects and objects. It's not really any more or less revolutionary than Naturalistic Pantheism, which benefits from being more useful philosophically and not requiring a pseudoscientific "proof" from somebody who was never actually formally educated in physics.
However, that's not the God that people are debating the existence of. The debate about God is usually about some sort of transcendent Creator and, almost always, the God of Abraham specifically.
