You seem very hung up on everyone paying the exact same price for something regardless of their personal financial situation, and seem to consider that the pinnacle of "fairness". Why is that?

Just asking. I wanted to understand what people actually mean when they say fair. Maybe it is being used with a different meaning intended?

GDP per capita is a terrible indicator of actual quality of life. It doesn't even measure the creation of wealth.

Also, why do you believe that public benefits, welfare and a functioning public healthcare system, the rule of law and basic human rights, all exist due to "capitalism"?

Public benefits have to be paid for. This means people working, jobs, folks having income to tax. The products, labor, value need to exist before it can be redistributed. The rule of law and the idea of basic human rights existed pre-capitalism so this part of your question seems non-sequitur. :shrug:
