Temple of the Vampyre

The Sum of Awe

Brought to you by the moment that spacetime began.
What do you think? Cult? Interesting? True?

From what I've got out of it, it's telling you that a true Vampyre never dies, and they trying to get you to use Cryonics after you die, which I was planning on doing anyway, no need for a money-cult to tell me to do it :D

I'm not sure what to think about them. I read somewhere that the whole thing is a crock and you eventually find out that it's some form of "mental exercise" in the suspension of disbelief or something like that. Seeing as they're basically an outgrowth of the Church of Satan, I feel somewhat safe in assuming that they're just another financial racket.

I find the Order of the Vampyre of the Temple of Set to be much more interesting.

Xeper.

For all intents and purposes CoS = ToV. And, both are laughable. A RHP organization merged with a sham of a Satanic one.

For some reason I get really suspicious every time some group either wants to keep spiritual information for themselves or advice not to discuss what they do in public. I kind of like working with vampiric stuff myself, but those guys aren't the way I'd go. Then again, I might be just paranoid. Who knows.

Groups that believe in hoarding knowledge for themselves, not sharing it with the public, and then making you pay for it all is nothing but cult behavior. They don't have you best interests in mind.

I believe that knowledge and information should be freely available, and that organizations should be transparent.

The joke to me is that all of these guys go by different names in the ToV than they use in the CoS so you don't know necessarily that you are dealing with the same folks immediately, Mind you, these are the same guys that are saying that 'there is no god only man' and then turn around and prattle on about 'the old ones' and 'immortality' in their next breath. Oh and apparently they control the Illuminati, the Catholic church, and all other organizations. :D

You can get to know about some of the leadership of the Temple of the Vampire here, starting at about 2:17:

Vampires - YouTube

I'm sorry, but this is too silly for me. Their beliefs about the "Apocalypse" are, quite simply, demented.

I have respect for people who work with vampirism, but this is a mockery of it.

Some might want to check this out.

Order of the Vampyre
I've looked into the Order earlier and generally like their take on it. I've started to get used to Setians having a more sane view on magic overall, but comparing that site to let's say ToV or any other similar sites I just have to tip my hat to Order of the Vampyre.

The payments are just staggering. 10$ for a few pieces of computer paper? In order to qualify for the next level you have to pay for one book after a time? Who makes sure you actually have any qualifications for the thing? If that's all true, it definitely smells strongly like cult.

I honestly can't find any comparison between CoS and ToV?

These are all CoS member sites, and you can see this IP is hosting services (mail and dns) for all of the other CoS sites and the Vampire Temple.

I am pretty sure without knowing anything else they're all related. :)

To play the Devil's advocate here :)D) ToS isn't necessarily keeping a close eye on what the member organisations are doing. ToV might look RHP according to the critics, but it looks LHP on the outside and surely in the eyes of the leadership too. Which means there is no reason why CoS wouldn't support them.

Ah I was speaking philosophically but I can pretty much reply to this too:

Just because ToV has links to CoS sites, means NOTHING that the CoS is similar. I'm sure many people are ignorant of what the CoS is all about, and use their site to look more "evil" and dark.

I don't think they're the same thing completely, but I think they are joined at the hip. :)

It is one of those organisations where you should not believe anything you hear about it unless it's told by someone inside, and that information is verifiably that which the organisation wants to make public. Like the ONA. Like the CoS. Like the Freemasons. There are just too many alternate stories.

It's not difficult to find the members of the ToV or even their leader online so you can ask him questions yourself. But it is difficult to make them want to answer you. You have to be original, interesting, and you better have your **** together, because they are not nice.

It's not hard to find information on their organization and their beliefs. It's especially not hard to find out about their ties to the Church of Satan. They're not exactly mysterious. Neither is the ONA, which is a hoax. They want to make you think they're so mysterious and exclusive. But it's all contrived.

It's $20 per e-book, $40 for a physical hardcover book and an e-book copy as well as monthly dues from $15 to $75 (I'm not sure if the $75 is a one time thing or what) if you actually want to join the organization. Of course they sell a bunch of overpriced trinkets on their site, too.
