Taboos and good and evil

I'd say I have reasons for my taboos, and I try to avoid doing explicitly unreasonable things. I would avoid animal sacrifice not because it's taboo, but because I value individual life. This is an important difference. A big one for me personally would be homosexual sex as I am heterosexual. I won't go out of my way to do something I have no desire to do, and it still has nothing to do with whether it is moral or immoral.
I've never buggered a dude, but I made myself sit though two hours of gay porn. At first it was revulsion, after a while, humour. By the end it was no different than watching paint dry.

If it would have aroused me on any level I probably would have taken it to the next level, but as it turns out no further experimentation was required.

Try it :)

Now that, my friend, is an interesting challenge.

I do that sort of thing. I make myself watch stuff that grosses me out or makes me cringe, anything I can get my hands on. It's far short of direct experience of course(far more effective) but it's psychological de-conditioning of a sort all the same.
