Symbolism's and relationships of commonality.

When whales and other types of life in the ocean come into contact with pollution and technology or even earth changes, it may be the cause that destroys the inner ear in the sick, the weak and the elderly. Their Leaders then cannot navigate properly and end up beaching themselves and their whole family or whoever follows them. When this occurs they lose the veil of grace (Water or Symbolically "Baptism") that has been sustaining them and keeping them afloat, and when this is fulfilled, they suffocate by their own weight or gravity of their situation (Symbolically "SIN") and the Sun (Symbolically "SON") burns their flesh. The same parable perhaps can be applied to the course that most of Mankind now has chosen to follow.

Just what is this "veil of grace" you mention, and how does it work so as to keep them from sinking?

Its a gift. It's time. It's your own personal relationship with your creator. Its also what you need to find and do in the grace of time your given. The path that was chosen that only you can walk, no other. Its also agitating and tranquil energies that either gently stimulate life and creativity or becomes abrasive and destructive depending on what you project outward that comes back to you and how you learn from this. A golden rule for all tongues and cultures. My path is Christianity, but not like the traditional now a days ones mainly, but for the path that was chosen for me specifically that only I can fulfill, just like everyone else's path that only they can perform.
If you can find that which is within you than that which is within you will save you.....if you can't find that which is within you then that which is within you will destroy you or that which you've chosen to encompass your life with. Seek out the light that shines through you.
