Stop pornography NOW!

Porn can create creepy people who withdraw from real relationships to live in a fantasy world that can be rather disturbing. As you flood the mind and imagination with that addictive self-medication entertainment you will start needing more hardcore stuff and fantasies become more deviant.

As you numb yourself with self-medication you ruin opportunities to build real relationships. It can lead to missing out on experiencing real relationships and great emptiness in life. The guilt and shame associated with sexual addiction can be detrimental to your sense of self-worth. If you have no self-worth, porn can make you despise and hate your self more and fall to new lows.

The pornography addict eventually misses out on real relationships and misses out on everything. For instance, not many are going to be able to find someone who is a supermodel or resembles who they are looking at in bed, so they are fantasizing about some one other than their spouse or partner and it becomes a relationship with ghosts. Eventually they start cruising for victims to use as objects for self-gratification. No need to further explain how this can be spooky. :p

I heard a Franciscan give a homily on concentration camp guards who used human skin to make household products. He said all of them were perverts.

Eventually everything becomes an exciting sexual fantasy that requires more than what a partner can satisfy and a person essentially needs people to be used as blow up dolls to satisfy the fantasy that they have excessively conjured up for reward.

Jesus shared in all of our weaknesses. He knows the pain of being a creepy porn addict. He took your sin and guilt to the cross becoming a curse for you so that you would not suffer for the debt you never paid.

Eventually you become more like Ted Bundy who needed living S&M dolls and corpses because the fantasies become so bad and creepy that no living person has fallen so low as to volunteer for , no matter how much they are paid.

Without the grace of God, there goes you!

I think this unhealthy obsession some people have with the sexual lives of others causes far more damage than porn.
I have no obsession with the sexual lives of others until they start harming themselves and others. Keep in mind that the girl who is being treated like meat is someone's daughter!

Whatever you want me to be.

So then you are OK with gay porn then, since no one's daughter is involved.

Are you making up Bible verses? I am fairly sure God is the only one that gets to do that.
Eitger way, there are unhealthy relationships, whether they be gay or straight. Best to have a healthy sexuality if one wishes to have healthy relationships.

What? Me worry?
Can you wait maybe three or four more minutes before the ban...just askin' for a friend.

What about the argument that pornography keeps sexual deviants occupied at their computer rather than lurking around places where they might find living flesh to rape?

That is an improvement over staying alone and committing debauchery with oneself.

And what if someone is simply not interesting in having a relationship with another person at their current stage in life. Like say someone recently separated and they need some "me time", but they also want a way to release sexual tension so they don't go back to their abusive ex.

Sounds good to me if it doesn't lead to manipulating others to satisfy the cravings

so are we speaking to the interplay of the practice and it's concern to the person?
or the spiritual consequence as we stand before God?

I might try a lame excuse......

Well gee......she looked good to me
wasn't that Your Intention?
