Did anyone else besides me, love the Ewok movies?

There was just one, right? I actually did like it. I was 13 when I saw it. People forget that Lucas made these films for children. Of course the new ones seem a little simplistic and even silly compared to the old ones. We had 20 years to get more jaded in between them.

Re: Ewoks, watching them kill super stormtroopers with rocks and sticks makes me really wonder why the empire bothers with the armor though. :areyoucra

In Frank Herbert's Dune series, knives are the weapons of choice, since advanced personal shielding has made projectile weapons obsolete. Knives are too slow for the shields.

Perhaps the Stormtroopers' armor is too technologically advanced for primitive weapons?

But then, blasters seem to do the trick as well!

Of course, you've heard of Nardo Pace, the worst engineer in the entire Empire? My sister in law sent me this a while back.

I have them on Betamax tapes.

The tv series:

Mine are on VHS from when I was a lad. I doubt if they still work.

I remember the cartoon. They also had one with C-3PO and R2-D2. I never watched that one though.

There was two that I know of. I don't even think they came out in the theaters. It was just a made-for-T.V. movies from what I remember. Yeah these were definitely kiddie flick which is why a lot of people don't care for them that much. But there are worse things out there.....like the Star Wars Christmas special. :cover:

As for the Storm Trooper mystery, I'm more interested as to how those guys pee with that thing on. Armored undergarmets don't allow much freedom for your nether regions.

I completely forgot about those. There was a short-lived Saturday morning cartoon, too, if I recall correctly.

You can't talk Star Wars without discussing the merchandising. What was your coolest and most memorable Star Wars toy?

For me it was my Millenium Falcon and Chewbacca action figure. I still have those.

Mine was the Boba Fett action figure I got for sending in five "proofs of purchase" before ESB even came out in the theatres. It was supposed to be with an actual shooting rocket on the backpack. But they changed them because of choking hazard. Wish I'd kept it though.:(

Does anyone else here play the Star Wars Pants Game? It goes like this: take a line from a Star Wars movie and replace one word with "pants".

"I find your lack of pants disturbing."

"A tremor in the pants. The last time I felt this was in the presence of my old master."

I'd love an original Boba Fett... he's the best. Most of the old toys were my brother's, I wasn't around yet when the original movies came out. But the Obi-wan and Luke's speeder are my favorites :)

A thread after my own heart. The Force called me to it, no doubt. ;)

Speaking of Fett, was anyone else annoyed by the fact his range finder [I think that's what it is, at least] changes from one side of his visor to the other in Episode 6? :D

You can find other goofs here: http://www.slipups.com/tree/1197.html Be warned: not all are authentic.
