I personally don't support SpaceX or any private corporation being behind space travel. I think it should be a purely public endeavor for the sake of science and peace.

All baskets are fragile, even the biggest ones. Unfortunately, hardly any option. Which planet, not just of our own sun, will not be bombarded by asteroids?

That is wonderful. Now if America can just get back on tract with cleaning up the environment. Yes it is great we are exploring space by we have horribly neglected the most amazing planet in our solar system that has (sadly disappearing) life that we know about. What a shame it is we cannot appreciate the wonders of our world and celebrate its diversity by preserving it.

Yes i do agree we should know our own planet first before space race.
