The fact that "devils also believe and tremble." James 2:19 doesn't make a devil as believing in God as in serving God.robtex said:there is a dent in your theory. Christians recruit so it is about numbers.
I believe that everything that everyone writes is a sacred scripture that is inspired by GOD and beneficial for teaching. I have learned many things from many books. Even fiction books that I have read seem to arrive to my conscious in a timely matter.Linus writes: Do you believe that we should follow the Bible only? From what I have learned from your other thread to Muslims only:chuck010342 said:The bible is directly inspired by God so therefore we should only trust the bible.
I believe different authors who like to create different worlds, different settings for their characters to inhabit or for author's to document their situations through prose can BE attributed to BEing inspired by GOD who is believed to have done much creating in his existence.chuck010342 writes:The bible is directly inspired by God so therefore we should only trust the bible.
Do you ever disagree with the Church's teachings? If you do, how do you go about dealing with it?SOGFPP said:the Church says so. One voice... one unified faith.... one interpretation. Period. That sounds like the Church Christ founded to me.
Assume that the teachings of the church is right. But you must also allow that because "God is not the Author of confusion", that if the church teaches different from the teachigs of God...that then the church is therefore Not of God. And again you are right! Any church that does not teach the word of God as God would have His word taught, cannot be of God! Hence the "confusion" that is evangelical Christianity cannot be of God!SOGFPP said:In addition to the Bible.... which I believe is sufficient (I'll try to explain later) I read the teachings of the Church.
To me, the 1000's of Christian faiths that are "bible only" and have drasticly different views of what scripture means is evidence enough of the bankruptcy of the sola scriptura theory. God is not the author of confusion and to me, there is only one way to ensure that we are interpreting the Bible correctly.... the Church says so. One voice... one unified faith.... one interpretation. Period. That sounds like the Church Christ founded to me.
But, I could be wrong!

I agree wholeheartedlyMaize said:Truth is truth, wisdom is wisdom. Why should it matter where it comes from? And why would you ignore it if it were not from a particular source?
