Sexist Tropes In Video Games

Nonsense, guys ''loosen their pants'' for anything.

Yeah, but it's way harder for me to score after a concert than it is for me to score just walking down the road. Seems counter-intuitive, but there it is! One guy practically kowtowed and called me a goddess, but even he didn't offer to sleep with me. I bet Mystic has no such problems after a performance. :D

I thought women typically considered lecherous advances to be creepy rather than desirable.

How do you make that distinction? Wouldn't it be somewhat difficult to assess the character of a random anonymous audience member on the spot?

Only lecherous advances from creepy people. I'm a huge fan of lecherous advances from decent folk of either gender. :D

I always thought a lecherous advance automatically entailed a free lifetime membership to the 'creepy people' group...

Not for me. I'm a really good judge of character. :D.

Seriously, though, I appreciate directness. I don't find it creepy or lecherous. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. But I appreciate it either way. Mostly whether or not it's going to be effective depends on how much you look like Johnny Depp. :p

Actually, the vast majority of my post-show fan moments are with gay men. I tend not to score after performances either. Go figure. :(

Hmm....I am going to buy a Johnny Depp mask...

Better make it convincing. Otherwise the creep factor comes back into play ;)

:(

Okay. Change of plan.

I will quote Mr. Nash then:

Nash: I find you attractive. Your aggressive moves toward me... indicate that you feel the same way. But still, ritual requires that we continue with a number of platonic activities... before we have sex. I am proceeding with these activities, but in point of actual fact, all I really want to do is have intercourse with you as soon as possible.

Would that work?

As more and more Females come out as active gamers (and as more women are employed in development) the current sexualization tropes in video games will gradually disappear, so I'm not that bothered by it.

Personally, I'm more concerned with how video games are becoming so fixated on the need for exaggerated graphic violence - but don't get me wrong, I'm not one of these "zomg! the video games are causing all these mass shootings!!!1" types. ^_^

Well, both Peach and Zelda were always the rulers of their kingdoms even when the games first came. (Last since it is mario andot donkey kong xD)

S* , it definetely beats being a plumber and a random little elf kid :D

I liked her points, they were pretty solid. The women there were very important and had really strong attributes. They just werent that important to the plot, which while fixable does not at all make the games be agaisnt women.

I think pornography and sexism is normal in some countries nowadays everything in our societies has been infected with this not only the game industry.
