Rom 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

My question is: How does God condemn sin in the flesh if there was no sin in the flesh of His son?

It's a massive contradiction. Especially when people talk about the nature of God being incapable of creating sin and such.

God doesn't create sin. He creates law which creates sin. If nothing was forbidden then there could be no sin.

You need to put Paul's spectacles on:
14"But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. 15But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one." 1 Cor. 2
For natural man sin is transgression, for spiritual "an error of the understanding " - ignorance Strong's Greek: 266. ἁμαρτία (hamartia) -- a sin, failure

I hope that you read all of Chapter 8 to hopefully get the context of what is being said. The Roman Catholic St Augustine originated the idea in the 5th Century and was added to official Catholic liturgy around the 15th Century. Jesus did not speak of original sin. I see the doctrine as a way for leadership to keep their followers in thrall.

Biblically, if one sins, the moment you recognize it and are contrite, asking for forgiveness, it is done.

All the so-called Christians out there will avoid my question like the plague because it exposes their false teaching of substitution atonement which is in actuality doctrine of antichrist because to deny that Jesus had come in the flesh (sinful flesh, which is the only kind of flesh of man) is antichrist. 1 John 4:2-3

When I was first Christian in 1974, the doctrine was preached in a church with a Baptist educated Pastor. For years it was used as a rather lame excuse to persecute women.

Have you heard the one about the "immaculate conception"? The RCC makes stuff up as they go along.

And they brought the false doctrine of eternal torment in also.

They pretend "eternal torment" is the same as "eternal punishment". Can you see the difference?

The Scripture never says "eternal torment" anywhere.

That is where Mary got pregnant with Jesus without having sex. What is your opinion about it?

I'm a religious dropout, calling myself an Abrahamic Religionist. I say the God of the Jews, Muslims and Christians is the One God. When I get well, I may take a look at Reform Judaism. Of course that leaves the question of Jesus' first coming. The Muslims believe he came and was the best prophet but not the Son of God. Being Western and mainly exposed to Christians, his sonship is ingrained in me.

I'm not lost, I just don't trust anyone anymore. My last experience with a religious group put the cap on it. I still study the scripture and pray, but rely mainly on my own Priesthood, between I and God. It is a long story and I don't care to pick at the scab any more.

Man was I there! I became so sick of all the so-called Christianity, with all their thousands of denominations, there was nothing left for me to do. if I wanted to keep searching for God and truth, I had nothing to do except turn to the Scripture and learn it for myself. As difficult as it has been, I wouldn't go back or give up what God has taught me. It's priceless.

Mashallah, that is commendable. Many end up feeling they are atheists. Perhaps the organized religion is not what God intended at all, but is a machination of the deceiver?

*Mashallah is a Muslim term meaning that "All Good Comes From God". If a Muslim complements someone, they say it to show that they are not trying to defraud them.

That's how He condemned sin in the flesh. Because He never gave into sin while He was in the flesh.

The doctrine concerns the conception of Mary. The Catholic Church teaches that God preserved her from original sin because she was destined to become the mother of His son.

It was God who actually condemned the sin in the flesh by sending his son in the likeness of sinful flesh, that's what Romans 8:3 says..It was not Jesus who condemned the flesh. God accepted Jesus' sacrifice to make atonement for the sin of all.

"original sin" if you look from point of view of bicameral mind theory is not so goofy. Gnostics say that sin = ignorance.
