Yeah, but the problem is that everyone finding something different and making claims is not the way to read the Bible.
Scripture Interprets Itself consistently:
a) in the verse,
b) in the context, or
c) where it has been used before, and
d) in light of the social-historical contexts in which it was written.
And that must explain 38,000 sects eavh with a different
correct reading, and individuals beyond counting each with
their true version.
I get what you are saying, and in theory, sure.
But also, in theory, no.
In practice, you have your opinion, others have theirs.
Who is deceiving himself? All but you?
Baptists argue if scrip supports total immersion,
or just splash -splash. Who is right?
Oh one more thing. Do you think there was a wotld
wide flood?
I would not believe in the biblical God as the Creator of heaven and earth if I did not believe the Bible to be accurate and inerrant (including Genesis, Exodus, Adam & Eve, Noah's Ark, etc.) because this is in keeping with the perfect character of God. God is Holy (Is. 6:3). God is true (Rom. 3:4), God cannot lie (Numbers 23:19;Titus 1:2) and God inspired the writers of the scriptures ( 2 Tim. 3:16), therefore the words are accurate and true. Jesus, Paul, and the other apostles acknowledged the accuracy of the scriptures and referred to the accounts in the OT scriptures, as historical facts and real events.
The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever. Psalm 119:160
They are not that different at all when it comes to expressing the message about Jesus the Savior, human sin, the cross, forgiveness, salvation , and eternal life. And every one different
Okay, I get what you are saying and I can understand your perspective and how it looks from the outside as a confusion of different opinions, theories, etc. In many ways this is exactly the situation, but there is more going on beyond the surface which I think demonstrates just how personal and more powerful Jesus Christ is over human efforts, abilities, or even differences.
. The scriptures say Christ is building His church and this church is comprised of individuals from every tribe, people, language, and nation from all over the world. Over the last 2000 years, this is just what He has done/is doing. Individuals who may be differ from one another in many ways have found love and unity in Christ in spite of various differences. For one thing, I believe God created each person uniquely. So His ability to draw all these unique people together while still allowing for differences as all continue to grow (at different rates) in more spiritual maturity, love, and unity demonstrates He is a personal God, relating one to one, while also a great God powerful and capable enough to bring unity in the midst of variety.
I have already told you...

And even werewolves like to eat breakfast.
We are not so diffrrent on basics!
The POINT you so studiously avoid, is all
the different, god- inspired infallible readings
on things as important as say, whether "god"
is a mass murderer or, the flood story is, like,
just a metaphor.
Do tty to stay on topic.
A simple "yes" or "no" takes fewer words.
As for what else you believe about the bible, or other
Christians, you have to understand that for those
with a decent background in biology, geology, physics
etc, or for anyone with one could hope is ordinary.
common sense, the flood is such an obviously fanciful tale,
that it really kills your credibility in anything you say.
Sorry, but seriously. Do try to educate yourself, for
everyone's sake.

Your posts are confusing to read, but I don't expect you to comprehend the Bible since you don't know the personal God of the scriptures, nor does it seem you care to.
Different enough to schism the Christian church over 40,000 times.
True, but that is the visible humanly "organized institutional church", while the body of Christ, the actual invisible church is comprised of believers from all over the world within and without those schisms.Different enough to schism the Christian church over 40,000 times.

Invisible church? Never seen it
I definitely get your perspective, but I don't have to agree.Yes, or no, is confusing? 'Tis you who careth
(OR dareth not) understand, my friend.
My English usage is far better than yours, the fault
for your incomprehendion is no more than half mine.
I can dumb it down if you like...
The flood is bs. If you bdlieve that it is
true, you will believe anything. No matter
how silly.
So sensible people wont trust your judgement.
Got it now?
The visible church is the outward structure and appearance (church buildings, clergy, etc. ) of those who claim to be Christians. The invisible church consists of those were truly born again and are new creatures in Christ
(2 Corinthians 5:17).

So?A christian apologetics site?
I definitely get your perspective, but I don't have to agree.
What is the bible's view on being rich?
It says so much that you dont get it!
