In 1 Samuel 28:6.It says Saul tried to talk to God using dreams.Does that work anymore?:)
Yes if you pray sometimes God will answer you with a dream. But you have to know how to interpret it. If you can't interpret it then pray for the interpretation.

Confucius is said to have met with ancient saints in dreams.

In the spiritual literature it is said that the saints can more easily contact us during dreams, than in our waking consciousness.

Receptivity to spiritual experiences is greatly enhanced by daily practice of spiritual disciplines.

Most monks in monasteries who pray and meditate for hours daily, have access to some contact with God...in dreams and even in waking consciousness. In waking consciousness it may be as simple as feeling a wave of peace or other spiritual qualities, like deep compassion for others. And in that state, the monk can tell that the experience is directly being granted by God.
