I've also heard it called "allies". But having it be LGBTQIAA is getting to long. The I is pretty new.

Some versions also have another "T" for "two-spirited"... though I'm not sure if the term is used much outside of Canada:

Two-spirited is a First Nations term for individuals who are considered to be neither women nor men. It often implies a masculine spirit and a feminine spirit living in the same body. Traditionally, two-spirited individuals were seen as having a gift and they performed traditional duties of both genders.

"Queer" tends to be more of the general umbrella non-hetero non-cis population. Though it's a term that has only recently been re-claimed by us folks who have heard it branded in very disparaging ways.

Queer also implies a certain radical political or social stance, and suggestive of sexual fluidity. It can be used as an umbrella term, of course, but I don’t know that the people who self-identify as queer necessarily believe that being merely gay, lesbian or bisexual makes one "queer."
