It's late. I'm OK but I'm tired of the political situation and when others leave the news on TV and I have to listen to it. I'm finding myself a bit cynical lately because the political climate hasn't been the only thing bad. I've also seen human relationships kind of disintegrate before my eyes. The human relationships I have kept, it's like I'm taking on a submissive role, because I just give in to keep the peace.

    How are you feeling?

Honestly, I feel kind of hopeless, as far as humanity goes. People scream and squabble over the most meaningless things, and self importance seems to be at a high. Not sure if it's always been like this or not, but it seems to be something I can't tune out anymore.

Human relationships are kind of confined to my own home. I don't prefer this, but I guess I no longer understood the idea of what a 'friend' was when it went from being a noun(a person you enjoy/care for) to a verb(the act of hitting a button social media). I think of it as a lesson in non attachment, and a workbook for giving up desires.

I'm somewhat blessed that I can avoid the politics. I subscribe to an in print newspaper to keep me knowledgable on the basics, but I don't dwell much on news. I can't do anything about it. Afraid to get much into anything anyways... so many just want to stew in negativity, and get feisty if you won't bubble and boil with them. Better to stick to the comics page.

Hope you're able to find a place of peace amongst all the craziness.

I feel a bit like the phoenix when being burned to ashes. But ashes are not forever and the phoenix will arise once again.
