Elected by..... er.... no-one.Rishi Sunak is the new PM
And so the clown show carries on.Rishi Sunak is the new PM
I seriously doubt it.He'd have a shorter term than Liz TrussRishi Sunak?
Allegedly, one of the bunch still in denial about how much of a failure it has beenI have read he is a true Brexiteer,
is that true?
Perfect. Because our new government supports Britain and Brexit.Allegedly, one of the bunch still in denial about how much of a failure it has been
Even the Daily Telegraph and Financial Times are saying we've got to change course and at least rejoin the single market.
Yes, and they - or rather the Bozo groupies, who are nearly the same crowd of fruitcakes - are already threatening to make it impossible for Sunak, just as they did for May, by rebelling on measures they don't like. One early task for Sunak will be to split them, by offering some jobs to enough ringleaders that they can't threaten his majority in the Commons. The ERG and UKIP have been running this country since 2016.
A race to the bottom.Perfect. Because our new government supports Britain and Brexit.
Maybe together we can change the face of Europe.
Hang on, the FT has been strongly and consistently against Brexit from the very start. The FT is not a right wing newspaper. It is centrist. That is why I buy it.Allegedly, one of the bunch still in denial about how much of a failure it has been

There are hard Souverainists here that hope that someday there will be a Italexit too.A race to the bottom.
All of what the Brexiteers called "Project Fear" is coming true
What you mean is that you have a nutjob right wing fascist as PMThere are hard Souverainists here that hope that someday there will be a Italexit too.
There was an article in the Brexograph by Jeremy Warner, who used to write a business column for the Indie in days gone by and is not a nutter, saying exactly that a few days ago. It's behind a paywall but here is the gist of it: Telegraph admits: Project Fear was 'right all along'A race to the bottom.

Agreed, but 2-years ago it wouldn't have seen the light of day in the paper. There was an article in the Brexograph by Jeremy Warner, who used to write a business column for the Indie in days gone by and is not a nutter, saying exactly that a few days ago. This, however, is not the editorial line of the Brexograph.
That's true. It may slowly be dawning on the less ideological of the Brexiters, one by one.Agreed, but 2-years ago it wouldn't have seen the light of day in the paper.
I'd like to see The Russia Report publishedThat's true. It may slowly be dawning on the less ideological of the Brexiters, one by one.
It may be that by the time of the next election Labour will be able to argue that Brexit was sold to the people on the basis of little change in trading arrangements (the Norway model, for instance), but it was subsequently hijacked by the Tory far right into an extreme and damaging form. That would fit with what @Rival has told me about her own vote for Brexit, for example.
Carney gave an extended interview to the FT a couple of weeks ago in which, while he refused to be drawn into saying overtly that Brexit was a terrible idea, he simply addressed the issue by observing that in 2016 the UK economy was 90% the size of the German economy, whereas today it is 70%.
QED.
We could always form a Religious forums party. Conservative values Mon, Tues, Weds. Labour values on the other days. This would be democratic and keep everyone happy. Failing that with either Mr. Sunak or Mr. Starmer (both good guys). Spending cuts and higher taxes. Length of office to be determined by strikes and if either can face down unions. True UK debt is lower than other countries. So is our carbon footprint. Thats no excuse for ramping up either.OK who do you want and who do you think will get it?
ps (For the first pick any party)
