[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]A few years ago, PBS produced this excellent film (Muhammad: Legacy of a Prophet), which tells the story of the Prophet, and also the story of a number of American Muslims who live in New York, Detroit, and elsewhere.

Speakers include non-Muslim academics, like Karen Armstrong, and Muslim scholars like Sheikh Hamza Yusuf Hansen

It also includes talks with normal American Muslims, including a nurse and a Muslim firefighter in New York

Part 2 of the Legacy film

In it are a summary of events in the early years of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and his marriage to Lady Khadijah when he was 25 years old.

At the age of 40, the Prophet receives a revelation while in a spiritual retreat in a mountain outside Makkah, as he meets angel Gabriel for the first time, and receives from God the first verses of the Qur'an

This part of the film starts with the story of Kevin James, a supervising fire marshal in New York, and how he grew up and how he found the universal message of Islam
