Memorization of scripture

Do you have any scripture memorized?

I figure memorization of scripture could be very spiritually strengthening. Do you agree?

I'm rereading the Dhammapada right now and am thinking I would like to commit it to memory. I could then meditate on it freely. I think I could have it memorized within a year if I am diligent about it.

This pleasantly reminded me of a meditation technique named Passage Meditation by spiritual master Eknath Easwaran.

I had memorized some good scriptural passages many years back as a teenager, and find myself able to bring them to memory even now. It is a good way to meditate, especially when you don't have the books with you on certain occasions.
