Man attempts to crash Train into Medical ship "Mercy"

How do you exactly crash a train into a ship?
You drive the train past the end of the track at full speed. Which happens to end pointed directly at the ship.
Prosecutors said Moreno admitted during an interview that he ran the train beyond the track because he believed the Mercy was part of suspicious activities involving the coronavirus.

Moreno, according to multiple sources, believed the Mercy was part of a government control conspiracy designed to divide and control the people.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.

What a moron. There's typically bumpers at the end of tracks designed to stop trains.

Yes and if you read the story you'd understand the train went through multiple barriers/fences etc before coming to a stop 2 football fields away from the ship

Unfortunately, psychology tells us otherwise. When people are faced with evidence that they're wrong and that their entire worldview is false — including the belief that Trump is a great leader — they tend to dig in deeper, spinning out ever more elaborate rationalizations meant to explain that they were right all along and that reality-based people who disagree have sinister motives.

To make it worse, these conspiracy theorists have been constantly empowered and enabled by Trump, who is a conspiracy theorist himself. With his daily tirade of lies, hunches, harebrained theories and baseless speculation, Trump has helped normalize and encourage his followers to just invent reality for themselves. Worse, the fact that he continues to get away with it helps bolster their view that there are no consequences for flouting reality so boldly.
Trump empowered conspiracy theorists: Now they're a major threat to public health and safety

Someone used a freight train travelling at full speed to try to attack a Hospital ship which is providing medical assistance to an over stretched healthcare system in the middle of a global pandemic...

I'm sorry. But that's going to take a while to sink in... o_O
RW gossip and conspiracy theories are powerful. It's only a matter of time before some people mentally break.

You don't live in 'Merica.
For those of us who do, it's not even surprising.

I expect more violence from the folks who resent any infringement on their right to be stupid.

Remember when someone attacked a pizza place, because Hillary Clinton was rumored to run a pedophile ring in the basement?
Yeah, I live in this country.

Or when that left winger shot up Republicans at that 2017 baseball game.
(Why are you guys so violent?)

Bumpers do not stop speeding trains. Consider the mass ratio. Have you ever seen a truck stuck on the tracks stop a train, even a slow-moving train?

Some people will hang a tennis ball from the ceiling of their garage as a marker to tell them how far to pull in the car. But the tennis ball does not stop the car.

Dr. Fauci now has Federal protection for himself and his home because he is receiving death threats.
