Judgement

I do anticipate some kind of judgement call
I also anticipate the result will place me alongside others who think and feel as I do

how else to be happy?
how else to be fair?

and now I suspect....it doesn't stop there

within the collection of souls I might belong to....
there might be some pushing and shoving

We have hierarchy and discipline in this life
I suspect Greater Hiearchy in the next

I have no means to say I will hold presence alongside Someone Greater

so then.....Who shall be my Lord?

has anyone else considered?
your mentor and confidant might not be.....the Lord

Picking the wrong Lord or God seems a sure path to an unhappy future.

ok....and I might have to agree....

but maybe the choice is not ours?

what if the Almighty wants to surround Himself with a 'better' crowd?
and you end up getting a Lord further down the line of hierarchy.....

the choosing might not be ours to make

Picking the right God doesn't seem to make people happy either, necessarily. For the most part, the very religious people I know are the unhappiest people I know. Those I know who are very religious tend to view the world very negatively...angry about homosexuality, convinced the world is turning evil, falling apart, that they are an island of morality in a sea of despicable filth and sin.

I'm not talking about the mildly religious folks I know, I'm talking about the more devout, heavily religious people. They seem to be a very serious, joyless bunch, preoccupied with the actions of others and negatively judging everyone around them. Again, it's not an absolute, but I know a ton of religious people for whom their faith/worldview doesn't seem to result in a happy life.

you think maybe.....meeting a suitable Lord will straighten the rough edges?

Not just that. God is going to make mistakes. It is not like in Hinduism where things are decided nearly immediately after death. The Abrahamic God has let the work pile up. So there will be billions upon billions of cases, confusion about same names - John Smith of New York, etc. Some who should have been in line for heaven may find themselves in the line for hell. There will be utter chaos not just pushing and shoving, perhaps a stampede and people may die a second time after being raised. God just has just seven angels to help him. He is hugely understaffed: Michael, Gabriel, Jophiel, Rapheal, Uriel, Samael and Sandalphone.

there are billions of souls to choose from
many of us would make terrible .....acquaintance
( I do see the world news now and then)

I believe God and heaven are not looking for our humanity.....nay
heaven seeks the grace that we walk among the angelic

with so many to choose from...why choose mediocrity?

each to his own.....
how else to be happy?
how else to be fair?

Judgement is a tool of the ignorant.. The Father judges no one.
we humans learn a great deal in the span of our lifetime
but I don't think it's ignorance that stymies our going to heaven

more like arrogance

I do believe if we share the presence of God and heaven.....
it's because we belong there
and heaven knows what it looks for

God makes mistakes?

ok.....let me see if I can keep that notion as a positive?

God's Favored is rumored to have been thrown out of heaven
(some kind of denial was played....and it did not play well)

I believe in freewill.....so the question for you would be....
was it God's fault His Favored fell from grace?
or was it the fault of having freewill?

The Father judges no one.

Except when He does.

PS7:8-9
8 From heaven you pronounced judgment,
and the land feared and was quiet—
when you, God, rose up to judge,
to save all the afflicted of the land.

Ecclesiastes 11:9
You who are young, be happy while you are young,
and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth.
Follow the ways of your heart
and whatever your eyes see,
but know that for all these things
God will bring you into judgment.

Isaiah 33:22
For the Lord is our judge,
the Lord is our lawgiver,

Isaiah 66:16
For with fire and with his sword
the Lord will execute judgment on all people

2 Timothy 4:8
Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day

Hebrews 12:23
to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect

Ezekiel 33:20
Yet you Israelites say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ But I will judge each of you according to your own ways.”

Ecclesiastes 3:17
God will bring into judgment
both the righteous and the wicked,
for there will be a time for every activity,
a time to judge every deed.
