Works?!I am very nice. Its a little hearbreaking to see people want to add their works to the cross and not sure if this argument is creating a stumbling block.
Who's adding works?

Any effort from man outside of the admittance he fails in his own effort and must rely on the sacrifice of Christ is an added work.Once you no longer trust in your own efforts and trust in Christ you are saved. From who do you actually think you are saved. It is from that of the bondage of the law of sin and death. You are saved from the very need to make it by your own efforts from which you fall short. This is why it is saving grace. If you feel you must walk in a particular action to be saved then you are in bondage to this action and create yet another law that you are also forcing on another to be held accountable(for self justification which the law requires) so create division. You have created a stumbling block. A true Christian relies on Christ only and is free from relying on self efforts and therefore seek the same freedom for others, not that of being justified by a work or even just a scripture interpretation. Those who believe are free. The whole bible can be summed up in the word redemption. This is the true gospel. Those who come to Christ are seeking a way out of themselves and the bondage they are in from self affliction and bondage to the laws. not another law which they need to hold themselves accountable to. The law was given for this purpose to bring someone to the end of themselves and see their need for salvation in Christ.Works?!

It is that which is of the flesh and not of the Spirit.Trusting in what we do to make us right with God and not trusting what Christ did to make us right with God.The understanding of the coming of grace even from the old testament.Hmm... From where do you get your definition of works?

1. No disrespect to Shermana. most of Pauls teaching in galatians and ephesians and even the understanding of the OT scriptures in understanding how man is brought out of bondage.Did you read my link?1. No disrespect to Shermana. Just letting you know we're coming from two different places.
2. I thought about your response and realized you elaborated more upon your definition of works. From where do you get your definition of works? What is your source?
Thanks. Here is the link.My understanding of grace is found in the old or new testament. This guy has great insight and revelation of the OT.You have to be careful and look for the page number on the bottom because it skips pages.Sorry, I missed the link. I'll look through this and your link and respond by tomorrow.
