Is "Occupy Wall Street" using UUA GA techniques?

The democratic methods the protesters are using in New York to come to consensus on various issues sound like tweaked versions of what UUs do at General Assembly every year...in fact, they're calling some meetings "General Assembly"!

At GA debates, there are three microphones: Pro, Con, and Point of Procedure. The moderator gives every speaker 2 minutes. Those who want to speak line up behind the microphone; it alternates between pro and con until there are no speakers and they call for a vote. In New York they're using 3 or 4 different hand signals to signify their position on issues, according to a friend who's been there.

PA systems are banned at the park in New York, so people split into discussion groups (of a dozen or so) and then "broadcast" by repeating together what they want to say. What a great analogy for the way power is in this country. The so-called "liberal media" is in fact a megaphone for the rich and powerful...they don't want anyone else to have a megaphone of their own, but the Internet has (for the time being) overcome that. The Occupy movement (and the Arab spring) shows the media blackout can be overcome by a mass of people when they finally get fed up and "shout together".

Are there any LRY (Liberal Religious Youth) who are down on Wall Street helping this process? Sounds like it.
