I know of a lot of supporting evidence, which I do not suppose you would really want to consider, other beliefs do not have scriptures for them with as much support for trusting as revelation from God. And I have basis to trust there is God there, it is separate logic to discuss.

Yes, collapse of civilization was delayed. I see the gospel was made available with much preceding it that was necessary to it, and the gospel spreading that helps salvation being much more available to any, in this time.

God will not need to make civilization collapse, it is coming to that fine on its own. When God scattered those who were at Babel they were confused, God was not killing anyone with that, and when people scattered immediately they were safe, from others not understanding them that many might kill each other. With resources drastically diminished in the coming times, for people who are not already away from cities growing food for themselves where they are, they will be starving and dying or killing others before they do for little that remains where they are, with quickly decreasing possibility of escaping from the collapsing cities, though this is prophesied in scripture passages.
