Is Israel good for Jews around the world?

Lets put things in perspective.
The Arab/Middle Eastern world around Israel is in turmoil. In the last couple of years we have seen civil unrest as a result of long decades of neglect and oppression.
And things are still not looking good. In contrast to that, Israel took Jewish refugees from war torn Europe, from Middle Eastern countries and from the former Soviet bloc and against all odds built an economy with several strong points. It is a world leader in medicine, it has technological, educational, and democratic progress that none of the countries around Israel have ever achieved.
So realistically, yes Israel seems to be good for the Jews around the world, while other middle easterners are persecuted in their own countries, by their own regimes, and are cought in civil wars.

The largest generic pharma producer in the world, and Israel's largest corporation, is Israel's Teva Pharmaceuticals. It's primarily located in Petach Tikvah, Kfar Saba, and Jerusalem. I don't see what it has to do with the economy of the Palestinian Authority.
