In the bible saul talked to God by way of dreams.Can he talk to us like that too?

Sure. He'll speak however you are willing to listen. I just wouldn't expect the message to be an clearer than His many other ways of communicating. It aways seems to take sincere soul searching to discern what's trying to get though.
