I know enuf people driven from the forum by both moderation & the lack thereof.
But changes are in the works.
I'm optimistic about improvement.

I would suggest that tinkering with the wording will change nothing at all.
Moderation and members themselves, will inevitably sort the sheep from the goats and result in those that do not fit to leave and others to stay.
The ethos of this forum has never been about promoting goats or sheep.
It has been a platform, where people of diametrically opposing views can come together on neutral territory and discuss and learn.
But they must leave their guns at the door as they enter.
All sides can have their say... provided that they do not come to blows or with the intention to intimidate.
The Rules enable those aims.

The Forum has never promoted any particular political or religious colour, though the membership does shift its balance with public opinion, Just as as one might expect.

There is much more afoot than this.
We'll see when the manual comes out, & the rules are consolidated.

I see the rules as de facto application more than de juro specification.
