Heretic and part-time (skinny) Santa impersonator
A simple premise
What if ?
government (you know, that ugly unwanted feral stepchild of humanity raised by wolves in the wilderness) sought to impose its will of FEMA camps of indoctrination and mind control (wave if you have your proper aluminum hats on now), sought to penalize and enforce human procreation itself (for your own social and moral good)?
The Federal gummint (you know, those commies that bring you and sustain Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and Veterans benefits welfare, food stamps, and other unconstitutional ideals of compassion and moralizing stuff like give a damn
now decides that human procreation in the US deserves its most focused attentions, as to whom may or should, when, how many, and that no bias in age should be a factor?
The religious righteous in this nation has now (for many decades ongoing since Roe v. Wade) has exerted unending efforts to convince the majority opinion of American citizens that having sex with no concern or interest, or purposed/focused ideal in procreation by any unmarried citizen is not only reckless and irresponsible, but a sinful middle finger in the sky to God Himself.
He never intended sex to be recreational, fun, or even pleasurable. You sinners know whom you are .either make babies, or just hold it all in you evil minded nasties
Just checking the calendar again, I see 2013 highlighted in bold at the tippy top.
Yet, many of the religious righteous would have ALL means of contraception again banned, and any unintended instances of pregnancy (under ANY circumstances) be an enforced and mandatory enforcement of sin (though ironically, Gods Will too ).
So anyone out there of the opinion, as American Citizens, that the Federal Gummint should and must criminalize ANY preventions/remedies of birth control? Should we support efforts to then impose governmental control of reproduction and family size, um kinda like China?
Maybe any and every Married couple (regardless of mixed or same gender) should be forced, as a matter of law, to produce or accept (adopt) at least one child as their own. What could be more American that that?
Too many married people today choose to remain childless how selfish and irresponsible!
When two people in their 80s find love and marry, they need kids to fulfill their remaining days and its govts. job to enforce that love with adoptive progeny!
Does that not seem fair?
If we choose to have government regulate how many or how few; if any progeny we may choose to spawn or adopt, especially if contraception methods or abortion remedies are criminalized by law; what could go wrong with that?
China has decided as a matter of national policy that any married couple is entitled to exactly one delivered child.
Is it best then to regulate birthing in a similar fashion here, but from the alternative position that any and all couples of any pairings MUST, beyond ANY exceptions, be parents of at least one child?
Two questions put forward that perhaps those of interest may qualify/quantify for the rest of us
Just how much governmental oversight do you seek or desire to be imposed upon citizens within current restraints of SCOTUS decisions?
Just how little governmental oversight do you seek or desire to be imposed upon citizens within current restraints of SCOTUS decisions?
