As the midterms approach there is new polling that suggests voters are swinging back towards Republican candidates/party over the Democrats. The biggest issue for voters is inflation. I can see there is little a govenment can do to stop the market, social, global issues that can cause inflation. It's clear the Biden administration could have, and should have, done something sooner to intervene with the Fed to abjust interests rates. The underlying cause of inflation is nothing Biden, or Trump if he had won, could have prevented. Global energy and commodity prices have been rising due to the aftermath of the pandemic and the war in Ukraine. Oil and gas will be a huge problem come winter with fuel supplies coming from Russia and Saudi Arabia who look to be exploiting demand to limit supply and cause rates to go higher.
So with frustration mounting with inflation voters seem to think Repbulicans are better at managing the economy. What is this view baed on, as I have seen no policies comong from Republicans that cite any actual plans.
Is the swing just symbolic, or do Republicans have a pan if they re-take congress? Will they play games with Biden by passing bills that are unrealistic so Biden will veto, and make Biden look worse? This would not be taking the job seriously and only be bad faith politics.
Your thoughts? I want to hear conservtives explain how Reupblicans are an actual advantage as public servants, not rhetoric.
