I'd be remiss to not make a comment in here too since Catholicism did have some impact on my cultural background growing up. Not for long - I abandoned it pretty quick - but it left impressions both positive (mostly positive, I think) and negative. Grew up with cultural celebrations revolving around Christian calendars, even if it was mostly a family thing than overtly religious in tone. Was exposed to things like religious education as well as weekly mass and ritual. Didn't like a lot of it, but the framework in of itself isn't bad - just not my genre. As far as some Christians are concerned, I was baptized, so that means I'm "saved" or something.
